Damage Chart for DE elites, Based on Rumors

Post by Zeth »

I know the book is not out yet, and that these rumors are likely not 100% correct, but did the math so I might as well post it.

Rumors: All units have hatred
Executioners: New Draich (+1S, Armor Piercing), Auto-Wound.
Black Guard: 2A, Armor Piercing Halberd.
Witch Elves: ASF, Due to no increase in offensive stats, these stats did not change from the last edition, wanted to add them so that people could see how many wounds they can expect from ASF to better judge if they can accept the charge or not, and for the sake of completion. Added the stats at bottom for a Hag w/ manbane, I have no information if this is still an option for the hag.

Reading the Chart:
The italic number is how much a single model will do.
The bold number is how much a 5 wide unit with champion will do.
The Columns are the armor save value of the opposing unit.
The Rows are the toughness value of the opposing unit.

Thus if I want to find out how many wounds the rumored Black Guard will do against Orcs, I would use the WS > chart, go down to T4, and over to 4+.
BG will do on average 4.1 wounds.

I will update this thread and the chart, as new or more reliable rumors come out, and post a new thread with actual numbers once the book is released.
Hopefully this is helpful to someone.

Edit: Somehow posted this in trading instead of tactics initially, no clue what I was thinking, if a mod could delete the post in trading I would be much obliged

interesting... And I'd like to add that I haven't herd about the AP halberds of the blackguards...

If this is true, why don't they just also call their halberds for draiches? it seems more likely to me that you should look at the number to the imideate right in the table (so you don't incorporate AP)

Is this just me?

I got the rumor from Lord Aries on warseer, who has been fairly reliable.
Don't know why they are not just calling it a draich, likely due to them not redoing the models.

But of course this is a rumor, and as you mentioned you can look one further right on the table to compensate if they don't get it.

And if I hear this rumor to be debunked ill fix the chart to compensate.

The rumors are nearly confirmed as Lord Aries is a great source. They are not redoing any of our units except the hydra, cok and corsairs.

Thanks as well. Despite many years of playing warhammer, it has done little to improve my maths...
The new Driach seems deadlier this time around... it may not be a great weapon anymore but armour piercing and always wounds more than makes up for it!

Thanks for the effort. But...
As a newb and non-English native speaker (hence lacking a rulebook written in English), I don't understand in your chart the meaning of MB. WS could mean Ward Save, but what does WS> or WS< mean, I can't figure out.
Could anyone be so kind as to pardon my ignorance and try to reduce it?

Always wounds, does that mean we dont have to roll for Strength vs Toughness?

Izirath: Yes
Calisson:
WS is weapon skill, MB is manbane, as in, witch elf hag with manbane.

Hope that helps

That is really... weird O_o Well at least it's good for hunting Giants and the likes. Still weird.. Awesome against ogres though. I really doubt that we will get autowounding as that would be kind of.. Imba..

Nice, nice!

I especially like the stuff about the draichs (Executioners are my favorite unit).

all of these rumors make me want it to be August now even more.

Many people have 'suggested' that these rumors are not very accurate.

So this chart would then not be accurate, will quickly whip up a new one when the book is out, probably include the stats for all units if within the RFZ, CoK's and DR's too.

Don't own the book.

Will do so when I own it.
I believe it comes out early august for us non-spearhead people.

Edit:
I suppose I know what everything does so.
I might as well do it now.
Hopefully have it up tomorrow.

I've got updated charts with pretty much everything, so I can confirm any calculations you make. Isn't there a newer thread that has all the calculations for the 'rumours' as they stand (basically, the rumours, with everything confirmed from people with the book)?

yeah, its in discussion.

If you want to post your calculation in a new thread that would be great.
I've don't think I'm going to have time to make the charts today.

You just took a screenshot of your spreadsheet? If so, I'll clean mine up and put them up tomorrow morning.
