It's still gonna be pretty vulnerable in armies that can't throw a stubborn screen in front of it to protect it... So I will expect it to be left out of many cav armies or dragon armies. Also, it doesn't work on mounts so monster and cav heavy armies have another reason to leave it out.
Personally I will be trying a bunch of infantry armies to start out since my all mounted army worked fine in 6th but my infantry was pretty much outclassed by my opponent's choices. Now I am gonna go infantry heavy for the first dozen games or so. I imagine a cauldron will find it's way into 90% of those lists. The versatility is the key for me. The way I can spread the gifts within 24" means the right guys will have the right tools most of the time.
I tend to favour infantry heavy lists, (but always include that unit of cold ones as my flank destroyer). If you plan on using a lot of infantry witches will never be far behind with their cheap cost now... If you can place black guard withces and execs right infront of it and just grind your way up the field its an EXCELLENT unit. i would consider making the the BSB too if you don't plan on using another character for a BSB cuz you don't actually need to pay for a standard and it's a cheap way to make you're line effectiveily unbreakable with everything being stubborn and a reroll. Slap your general into the black guard at your center and you have a Ld10 stubborn with reroll wall of pointy elven steel... The cauldron CAN be a great addition, if you don't plan on flying up the field with CoK and fast cav...
i'v got a question about magic, any one know wich spell can be cast in to/from combat? WofP? Blade Wind? Soul Sleler? [those in 6ed. could if i remember...]
”Fear in hearts, Fear in eyes, Fear is all before they die."
I got to look at the book quickly today. One thing I noticed is off is the rules for the the king. The way it actually works is if you hit the opponent (not wound) you get one 4+ roll per combat to destroy a magic item or level. So you roll to hit, roll to destroy magic items, roll to wound, then roll armor save. This is much better because you can destroy armor before he even needs to roll a save.
Agelmar - does the weapon full on destroy the armour, meaning the enemy has no save, or simply remove its magical effect, meaning the enemy still has light/heavy armour or whatever underneath. If its the first, thats very potent basically means he can take out an enemy character for sure.

The weapon he uses is called the Destroyer, does that answer your question?

What about the Draich of Dark Power, Wand of Kharaidon, Rubric of Dark Dimensions, Mystic Shield of Light, Heart Stone of Darkness or the Cloak of Dark Souls? Are they still there?

No it doesnt.
No offense but when people make assumptions like that, confusion and mistakes occur. Fluff =/= rules. I would expect it to destroy the item but I cant tell just based on the name.
If my calcuations are correct, SLINKY + ESCALATOR = EVERYLASTING FUN

.... It was a joke mate... I never meant Fluff =/= rules, I trying to clarify through a witty sentence and as there aren't many opportunities around here, I saw the chance and took. Indeed, the Destroyer does destroy the item - Just like it did in 6th.

IAW Druchii.net rules, I erased any accurate mention of pts in the first page of the thread.
This is because I have seen the Army Book available for consultation in my favorite shop. So now I'm not pretending anymore to report just mere rumors. By the way, I did not check every single detail. Some tiny differences may remain, but nothing obvious.
Hopefully everybody had a chance to save the cost somwhere until they can buy the book (I will be able to do it only in the beginning of August, 16 more days to wait).
This thread is going to die in 17 days.
Already more than 39,000 view! That was useful.
My next baby is the LBAW7eD, in the tactics forum.
See you there.

Calisson, thank you once again for going through the work of compiling and updating the rumours - I have lost count of how often I browsed the front page to consult its contents for this idea or that question - and I *still* can't wait for the postman delivering my spearhead! - But I digress: You have provided an invaluable service for me, all of us Druchii and all those lurkers of the lesser races and I hope our gods will award you with countless killing blows and a gorgeous cheerleader to applaud you for rolling them!
Please note my Druchii.net post count is higher than the number of actual WFB battles I've fought so far, so my opinion on Tactics might not be the Ultima Ratio ...
