You all sound like a withered council of hags or something. Steja, listen to me, if you take it off I'd give it about 3 months for people to start asking for you to put it back on. Just leave it up there and forget about it. What's done is done, and if someone REALLY doesn't want to be something handle it on a case by case basis. Whatever you decide it's going to make some people mad and some people happy, so just choose the laziest option...mmmm...laziest option...

true, but I think we do raise some valid points. While this site is thankfully free of excessive spam, far too many message boards have been swamped by unnecesary posts-and I would hate for the same thing to happen here..

true, but nothing happened on the old site, and they had ranks there... not the peasant one (which probably should be deleted... slave on the altar aint going anywhere - its too funny, plus it gives an incentive to post a bit), but there were ranks.

Well Steja, you do as you see it best... Only the Witch elf could be changed, since all the other druchii classes can be both male/female, only the Witch elves are what they are... Betcha there are some ambitious Black Guardiennes out there, byt there ain't no "Warlock elves" :mrgreen:

lol, fine, I admit it, I'm paranoid! I would much rather keep the rankings, as I do think they add flavour to the site, but I'm terrified of spam (I put it down to a childhood incident involving myself, an unwanted pair of pyjamas and a can of spam...but thats a tale for another time...) But I agree, "Witch Elf" does seem kind of dicey...but waht's wrong with peasant?! As with "slave on the altar" (which by the way, I LOVE) it "encourages" the user to get more involved in the site and shake off that lowly rank...

I don´t like the idea and voter against it. After all we are all Druchii Generals and if we are to be judged it should be for our ability and not the Number of messages in the board.

I'd really like to be a Cold One Knight or a Dread Knight, but can't see it in the list... :cry:

And what about if everyone could select the title he wants in his profile...
Up to 24 posts everything could be the same (or 0-4 slave on the altar, 5-9 Working slave, 10-14 peasant, 15-19 trainee warrior, 20-24 warrior), since everyone needs training to become what he wants, and when you reach your 25th post, you'll be able to select the class you want from the whole list of Dark Elf charachters/units.
Furthermore, every 25/50/100 (or whatever you decide) posts you'll be awarded with a special title, such as "Raiding Lord", "SlaveMaster" up to "Bane of the High Elves"...
Shouldn't be a good idea?

That would be hard for the adminstrators to do, but it is a good idea. However the ranking system we have now is fine. Or at least I think so.

Leave it as is, and if spam starts appearing in large amounts, it will need to be removed.
