First off, here's the com
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/640 ... y_Comp.pdf
Now my question is what does this mean for my army that I made using th old comp - and how will I change it?
My army has a level 4 with shadow on a dark steed, as well as a bsb on a dark steed.
I had 3 units of 5 dark rider (15) and 2 units of 5 doom fire warlocks (10)
If I'm right this still makes my army legal - as it says
Dark rider models AFTER 15, and characters are worth two. Bringing my total to 14. But I just wanted to get a second opinion before I submitted my list.
Any help would be fantastic, thanks!

Re: ETC comp and questions
Your list is indeed legal - 2 dark steed chars is the "soft max" when you want 10 warlocks (and they are so damned good, you pretty much want those two units always).

Re: ETC comp and questions
i realize you were asking specifically about you list however i was wondering how we feel the comp effects our army overall?
i actually don't think the comp is that bad for us but maybe that's just because i am new to the army, i dunno
what are we thinking is the best lore to take considering we essentially cant take death or dark- i am thinking life?
in any case it would be good to hear overall opinions on the comp for delfs

Re: ETC comp and questions
They severely hinder all-mounted lists except cold one busses. Which is 100% fine because an all warlock or all DR with 5 1+ AS chars with ASF in the front rank is just plain unfair, and incredibly difficult to take any points from.
The fact they feel the need to limit warlock models is annoying to me, I feel this is unfair. They are, after all, not really that much better than other races' caster units, which are not comped at all. I think they could maybe set max 2 warlock units, and then say maybe max join 1 char into a warlock unit without it being a problem. This comp is too big.
As for mounted SS with dark/death banned out... Death I can maybe understand, we can make some very strong mobile SS bunkers and lore of death is considered "overpowered" in ETC. However, dark magic is built to be used by a mounted caster I feel, and comping this is plain ridiculous.
Dagger comp; no comment. The item is a joke, now, so whatever
Generally I see 3 to 4 ways to play DE in a singles tournament, and one or two ways to play it in a team tournament.
The team setup which is also one of the singles setups:
Pegasus lord
3 pegasus masters
Mounted SS on steed with as much MR as possible within points limit, and lore of shadow
3x5 dark riders
Up to 600 points core worth of darkshards with flaming banner
4 RBT
9 warlocks
Deny points, take what you can with the fliers. Shadow is the 3rd strongest lore for a non-bus DE list I feel.
Other team setup:
Dragonlist with emphasis on denial again, similar to the above.
For singles:
CoK deathstar where you run lore of beast
Twin Tower where you would probably want life or dark, or maybe even death.

That team setup works well. Just had a couple of test games with the 4 peg approach and they did very well. Not huge margin wins but still wins.

With mobile death, the 4 peg list can table many opponents. Certainly shouldnt lose to that many, either. DE and WE are some of the best point denial lists there is, imo.
