Double Assassins?

Post by Ryank »

I really want to try using the assassin in my list and even thought of running 2 of them as the possible devastation that can be done with 1 gets even better with 2. Would 1 be worth it or better yet, would 2 be even more worth it?

One can be useful.

Two looks less competitive in terms of army resources (just compare a Dark Steed Master), but there are certainly plenty of interesting builds.

I have been running two in my lists lately and they have been some of the best models in the games for me. No one expects the Assassins anymore and they under estimate them but ive found 2 together is really good. One has the other tricksters shard, additional hand weapon, glittering scales, and killing blow. The other one has the obsidian blade and manbane. They sit next to each other and every game have killed almost any character they come into contact with. Yes one or sometimes even both die, but they usually take out something incredibly valuable before they die. They take some practice on what works, and when to reveal them but I've really started liking them. Plus swedish is really soft on them too :o

With a sprinkling of Savage Beasts, I watched them cut up a Bloodthirster last Sunday.

I've been considering playing around with one in a small unit of 10 Black Guard that hangs out near a Cauldron. 2 would be ever cooler! Don't mind if I steal your kits, Dstauder - looks like a sweet combo, especially with the Cauldron...
