Rhaen's Raiders 2600p no-comp

Post by Rhaen »

~Hiya!

Though I've never been very prolific at posting; it's been a while,
the end times has had me in a weird mood when it comes to WFB for a while now.

To get out of it I'm planning to play some games with my friends with the "new" end times rules,
and thus I've come up with a list and would appreciate any and all comments on it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

High Elf Archmage - Shadow/Death
Lvl 4
Book of Hoeth
    Pts: 275

Supreme Sorceress - Shadow/Death
Lvl 4
Dark Steed
Dispel Scroll
    Pts: 265
-----------------------LORDS--------------------- Total Points: 540

Master
Lance, H.Armor, SDC, Shield
Dark Pegasus
Cloak of Twilight
    Pts: 188

High Elf Noble
H. Armor, Shield, BSB
BotWD
    Pts: 151

Death Hag
Cauldron of Blood
Sword of Anti-Heroes
    Pts: 305
---------------------HEROES------------------- Total Points: 644

Witch Elves x 21
FC
Razor Standard
    Pts: 306

Glade Guard x 14
Lord's Bowman, Standard Bearer
Trueflight Arrows
    Pts: 230

Dark Riders x 5
Musician, RXBs, Shields
    Pts: 110

Dark Riders x 5
Musician, RXBs, Shields
    Pts: 110
---------------------CORE----------------------- Total Points: 756

Har Ganeth Executioners x 20
FC
Banner of Swiftness
    Pts: 285
---------------------SPECIAL---------------- Total Points: 285

Doomfire Warlocks x 5
    Pts: 125

Frostheart Phoenix
    Pts: 240
---------------------RARE----------------------- Total Points: 365

    Overal Total: 2590

The Hag goes into the Witch Elves,
    the Noble into the Executioners,
the HE Mage into the Glade Guard,
and the Sorceress runs with the Warlocks.

I haven't decided which Mage to run Shadow with and which should run Death.
Edit #1: running death on the more mobile mage is very sound advice, thank you T.D.
My idea with the High Mage is only for situational 1 dice Drain Magic casts. (might be wasted points, feel free to give me your opinions)

So, does anyone think it'll work out ok?

The end times gave us elf players almost too much options for fun and the rules changes makes making lower point lists hard
with so many good Lord/Hero options.

  • Is the High Mage wasted points?
  • Do I have too many mages? (can you? :3)
  • Something vital I lack?
  • Any good idea on what to spend my last 10p on?

Edit #1: I have removed the lvl 2 mage in favour of more Witch Elves and Executioners, bumping the former up from 15 to 21 and the latter from 16 to 20

I know people would like to want what I have to exchange or the like in terms of models but it's only among friends so wysiwyg isn't enforced,
go ahead and comment on anything if you have an opinion.

Any and all comments are welcome ^^

Thanks for taking your time!

Wow. Did you swallow a rainbow :) A tad over the top perhaps.

So list looks interesting. Although I would question the need for the lvl2. Between two lvl4s and the Warlocks, that should be enough.

Edit: Forgot to start off with a thank you for your reply ^^

Yeah I'm leaning towards skipping the lvl 2.

And while I didn't swallow a rainbow I have this thing of putting a lot of effort into making my posts easier for the reader.
I have a belief that it makes people more likely to read it which is the first step on the road to a response ;3

I enjoyed the technicolour posting  Found it easier to read :P

I'd go Death on the mobile, Shadow or High on the bunker.

List overall looks promising but you are light on bodies. More troops for the L2 looks good.

Let us know how you get on :)

Thx again for the response!

Which kind of bodies shall I repurpose the resources harvested from the high elf scum... err.. mage into, you reckon?

Should I go with another group of fast cav or just supply more bodies to one of the blocks?

In response to the comments I've been given I've updated the list.

I've commented and denoted the edit in the post as "Edit #1".

All in hopes that people don't get too confused from not having seen the original list.

Thanks once again!
