Is this even a viable unit? ETC limits mounted characters quite a bit so this is where I thought a hard unit could be made.
What equipment and how many characters would make this animal shine.
I am thinking 7 or 8 knights with a Dreadlord carrying the Black Amulet and Ogre blade, and a BSB with the Ring of Hotek.
Am I on the right track?

Re: cold one bus equipment
I run a similar build in my list and it is very viable. However I am completely ignorant regarding what the ETC permits and denies so while I can confirm its use in Warhammer games, I cannot provide an informed opinion of how they will function in a different environment.

Yep, the usual bus has a master and a Dreadlord. Also, a cheap lvl 1-2 sorceress in there with beasts Signature spell also is viable. This makes them very lethal. I've seen a lot of people use the CoT with the master build also.

Re: cold one bus equipment
Or a Lv1-2 with Dark. also gives easy acces to +1S
either way in my experiancr you'd need
A Lord kitted to punch teeth in
A Master to take challenges with
A Hero to hold the RoH (Preferably this would be a Sorc with eith Beast or Dark)
Tho like Phier i dont have any experiance with ETC

Re: cold one bus equipment
someone else on here proposed the use of:
10CoKs
master bsb, ring hotek
lord with dawnstone, ogre blade and OTS.
this unit has a lot of 'blow-through' and i can attest to that as i made it and used it myself! it's going to attract a lot of attention so the ring of hotek is great to have in there. for the banner, perhaps use the ironcurse icon or even the movement banner. either way, it should be able to do so much damage that it removes steadfast from whatever unit it touches in the first round of combat. if not, you should move a unit of harpies to stop anything coming into its flank in the opponent's movement phase. should be able to break the opposing unit in 2nd combat round at worst!

Re: cold one bus equipment
I like the CoK alot. In its my most lethal format I go with:
Dreadlord OTS, sword of anti-heros, Armor of destiny (1+/4+).
Master. ToP charmed shield, lance.
(Supreme) Sorceress of life with kit to flavor.
And then atleast 7 CoK with full command.
I also like the putting the bloodwrack shrine in a unit of 6 with a life sorceress. That is a great anvil.
