DREADLORD - Heavy Armour, Sea Dragon Cloak, Sword of Might, Enchanted Shield, Black Amulet, Other Trickster's Shard

SUPREME SORCERESS - Lv4 Life, Dispel Scroll, Talisman of Preservation

DEATH HAG - BSB, Cauldron of Blood
SORCERESS - Lv2 Beasts, Tome of Furion
MASTER - Heavy Armour, Sea Dragon Cloak, Lance, Cloak of Twilight, Dark Pegasus

WITCH ELVES (25) - FC, Razor Standard
BLEAKSWORDS (10)
DARK RIDERS (5) - Mus, Shields
DARK RIDERS (5) - Mus, Shields

EXECUTIONERS (20) - FC, Banner of Swiftness
RBT x 4

DOOMFIRE WARLOCKS (5)

The plan is for the Dreadlord to go in with the Executioners, the 2 Sorceresses to sit with the Bleaksword bunker behind the Witch Elves, buffing buffing buffing!
The fast cav and Warlocks dart around annoying what they can, the Peg Master will go for any meaty warmachine target he can and the RBTs will shoot what they can.

Any changes needed?
Many thanks for your comments and advice in advance

As mentioned elsewhere, Metal is probably a better option v Empire. I'd also consider switching out the swords for some shades. I know you said you were going to bunker the sorceresses in there, but honestly, they suck. You could mount the sorceresses on steeds and put them in with a unit of riders, or something.

@direweasel is correct. Also, do you have any idea about what the Empire player is likely to take?

Also, go over to Warhammer-Empire and do a quick scan of the 'Griffon Formation' thread; many defensive Empire players use this formation....

Change the magic lores on your sorceress. 2l should get the metal, and l4 beast. Plus the tomb only works with dark magic if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the great advice guys.
I don't really know what my friend will be taking apart from cannons, stank and gryffs so it will be a fun surprise for me when we eventually meet for the game.

I like the idea of changing the lores for metal and beasts so I will check that out.
I will also have a think about replacing the Bleakswords with shades for early doors warmachine harassment!

Thanks again guys

Generaly speaking:

Range troops hit hard, bows and crossbows making short work of lightly armored foes while handguns work best against moderatly and heavily armored foes. That said get them in combat, espesialy from the back, and they are toast which makes skirmishers their enemy.

THeir warmachines did get nerf 8th edition when it comes to the Hellstorm rockets and mortars but they can hit lots of troops. Cannons and helblaster cannon are still dangerous as ever.

Knights are both hammers and anvils, and have the best armor, so things that go through armor like Executioners or Lore of Metal will be a must.

Most of the rank and file troops are lightly armored, save for the greatswordsmen who hit hard and have a 4+ armor save.

Light cave I have mixed feelings about. They pisolirres need to be upclose and personal but they have a pair of handguns. The outriders I think have potential, but their greatest weakness is they are shooting move or shoot weapons as rapid respons units. That said, they still have the potential to put some hurt on with repeating riffles

Steam Tank: Nuclear Bombardment from Orbit; its the only way to be sure. In lue of of that, anything that can ignore armor or use it as a weapon against it (I.E. Lore of Metal) will be your best friend.

Flagelents will cause more harm to themselves then you they can keep a unit busy for a while.
