Character bio – Lord Geophrim Auryndar

Name of General and/or Faction:
Geophrim of House Auryndar, Dark Warden in Ghrond's Temple of Khaine, Paramour to the Witch elf Priestess Kasumi Bloodmist, Leader of the Warband "the Returners"

Attitude toward the civil war:
May the Hand of Khaine forever drive us onwards to victory! For the glory of the Bloody Handed God! The call of Chaos is seductive, but we must not yield. Yet first our ignorant kin must be driven back from Khaine's Holy Land. Only then can we focus upon the pestilence which pollutes great Nagaroth.

Short bio/story/description (stress on short):
Eldest son to House Auvryndar in Ghrond, Geophrim was sent to learn the blade under the watchful eyes of the Executioners. Mastering their skills, he returned to Ghrond where he assumed the role of Dark Warden of the Temple of Khaine--a position of honor in which a noble devotes 50 years of complete alliegiance to the Temple as a tribute paid in blood to the Lord of Murder. There, he met the young priestess Kasumi, dedicated to Khaine, and despite the prohibitions has secretly been accepted as her lover. In a dream just months ago, he saw a great bloody mouthed panther lead both him and Kasumi to the east, where they raised upon the shores of what was once Tor Anlec a great temple to Mighty Khaine. With a belief that the vision was Khaine sent in approval of his choice to take a Bride of Khaine as his own, and his faith blazing within him, Geophrim, along with Kasumi and his warband "the Returners", have traveled to the Wrath Gate where they will cleanse the Asur from Naggaroth's shores before journeying to holy Naggarythe where they will raise again a great Temple of Khaine and restore the Lord of Murder to his rightful place of veneration on Ulthuan.

Oooo. Dating a Witch Elf. You sure get points for courage.
Because anyone vicious enough to shoot down her own battlecruiser because there might be a traitor at the helm deserves to have a Druchii namesake.

Very courageous or very stupid... or both...

Post by Geophrim »

Yes, dating a witch elf is probably not the greatest of ideas for one's longevity, but since it was directly proscribed, I thought it would be an interesting plot device. Besides, what if Geophrim turns out to be a true "Prophet of Khaine"? Is he just a deluded zealot, or a quasi-Messiah figure (although DEFINITELY not in the same league as DA! LOL).

Regarding Geophrim's Fluff: I should have mentioned it in the other post, but I believe Geophrim may be the individual referenced in the Wrath Gate summary regarding the passage "the High Elves have been met in battle by the vengeful Dark Elves in deep and immense dim-lit caverns within the underdark of the Black Spines", since this text appeared soon after I reported a battle report with a Asur-playing compatriot which happened to occur in the "dim-lit" basement of one of our college dorms... You've inspired me Lord Kala to also take this another step into a written fluff! Coming soon!

Good to see more fluff coming up and I am honored to spark the creative flame. You never know where this campaign is going to take you. I sure wasn't expecting to become "Lord of the Wrath Gate", but lo and behold here I am. So throw your hat in and we shall see if Lord Auryndar is a prophet or just altar-bait.

Off subjct note - yeah I suppose a Shinai is wielded about the same as a Draich. I'm thinking the analogy is more like a Nodachi than Katana, though. My favorite Executioner models are the ones standing in a rough Jodan no Kamae.

Name of General and/or Faction:
Asadh Vehlta, captain of a small Watchtowers garrison.

Attitude toward the civil war:
Religion is but a means for control. This conflict devides Druchii power dangerously at a time where unity is needed. Slaanesh is a god of Chaos - how can the druchii affiliate with Chaos? Slaanesh must be crushed, but the khainites must not be allowed to gain even more say over the lives of the druchii.
Captain Vehlta deems loyalty to Malekith and commitment to the war on Chaos to be the only things worthy of attention.

Short bio/story/description:
Vehlta is the son of a breeder living a tad north of Har Ganeth, whose mother was killed by Chaos cultists in a raid.
In truth, his father and mother were political exiles, forced to "relocate" or suffer death at the Har Ganethi executioner corps' hands. Vehlta's father allegedly "cheated" in a duel between himself and one lord captain (who happened to be the nephew of a high-ranking general) concerning the reimbursment of a debt contracted by the lord captain. House Karkhadath, Asadh's father's (and by extention, Asadh's), is still a minor house in Har Ganeth whose riches were acquired through money-lending. The current head of the house is Asadh's great aunt.

Name: Prince Aethran of Saphery and his companion, Archmage Dalmar of the White Tower,

Attitude: Aethran lost his parents to a Druchii raid many years ago, and seems to have a death wish. He relentlessly throws himself into combat, riding upon the back of a great red dragon, Bellerophon. Dalmar is his protector, an Archmage sent to make sure he DOESN'T get killed.

Short bio: Aethran is 300 years old. When he was twenty-three, his parents were killed in a Druchii raid, led by a Highborn on his Black Dragon. Aethran's father tried to stand up to the dragon, but it swallowed the brave elf in one bite. Since then, Aethran has been devoted to exterminating the Druchii once and for all. A red dragon, Bellerophon, was saved by Aethran on one of his raids to Naggaroth, and since then, Aethran has rode the proud creature into battle. He searched long and hard to find a way to kill Black Dragons, and found it in the form of a weapon he obtained from a Chaos Champion. He had the blade reforged, and had the black metal engraved with three words "The Black Sword" (Note: When imagining what this weapon looks like, think Sword of Aeons from Fable). He rides into battle atop Bellerophon, wielding the Black Sword, armoured with his family's ancient dragon armour, bearing the Talisman of Saphery on his chest, and carrying his family's house shield. He is friends with Prince of Avelorn, the Weapons Master, Alcarin Tar-Meneldur, and flew all the way from the Old World on dragonback once Archaon had been defeated.
Dalmar is a powerful Archmage from the White Tower. He rides his eagle, Thoren, and has been assigned to protect Aethran from getting himself killed. So far, he has succeeded. Not much else is known about him.

Note: Of course, there is also my other High Elf Prince. He has no name. He is, as someone (can't remember who) once said before, in no need of names, for he is nothing but the physical incarnation of my presence on the battlefield!

Name: Drake Everslayer
Fraction: Glar'Nar-Touth leader and devoted to Khaine
Attitude:
having served Slaanesh though his voyage though the Chaos Wastes he now fights against his former "Master" and dispises anything to do with Slaanesh.
He fights for the Temple of Khaine with the Glar'Nar-Touth Shades, Warriors and Dark Riders.

Short Bio:
Drake was born in Naggarond, and by the age of 4 he had lost his father because of treason, by the age of 25, he lost his mother, also to treason.
at the age of 50 he uncovered a Warrior committing treason, but when he had killed the warrior he was blamed for treason.
He fled Naggarond and made it to the Black Spine Mountains, finding the secret cult of the Glar'Nar-Touth, a shade cult, one that used ambushes for major attacks, one that had defended Naggaroth without anyone knowing.
15 Years after joining, Drake was elected to be their leader, but he refused and had to run away again, untill he came back with his friend Kherith and companion Mord.
He led an attack against Ulthuan, but then was ordered back to Naggaroth for reasons unknown.

Name, Titles and Faction

Lord Mortecareus the Nefarious,
High Seat of House Demandred,
Lord of Nagronath and Kharendor,
Dark Lord of Naggaroth

Attitude to the Civil War

Slaanesh is a Usurper, Deciever and Betrayer. Slaaneshi worshippers are a cancer in the heart of the Druchii race, and probably to blame for everything that's gone wrong in the last few millenia. All loyal to the Dark Prince will be put to the sword. Mortecareus has spent the last few months in Lustria, fighting against the Cult, and now they have left, is rebuilding his ships, and sailing home.

He has been largely cut off from the latest news in Naggaroth; he knows Morathi heads the Cult, but isn't aware that Malekith is sitting on his hands. He expects to arive back in the middle of a sweeping witch-hunt for followers of Slaanesh.

Short Biography

House Demandred has a long and comparatively noble history of loyal service to the Witch-King. Mortecareus, a relatively young Ruler of his House aims to live up to this illustrious history. House Demandred holds lands near Clar Karond, and has recently claimed land in Nagronath on Albion.

His officers include Duke Voltine Sevaroth, and his personal Standard Bearer, Gormagon

Name of General and/or Faction:
Evi'del Painsong of Evi'del's Bog Raiders

Attitude toward the civil war:
Come Slaanesh or Come Khaine, it is I who shall stand strong.

Short bio/story/description (stress on short ):
Dispite the lack of social standing among Druchii, Evi'del has managed to grasp enough stray Druchii, promise of power and return home. Faith is not the option, hope not the destination. From the bogs and swamps they coil, waiting for the war to bring the power vaccume they will gain from, and when the time is right, use their gained standing and strength to get the one thing that matters. Home.
Chaos, Panic, Disorder. My work here is done.

Name of General and/or Faction:
Veronia Darkspear, Morathi's apprentice and betrayer of Morathi. Lilth Darkspear, general of Darkspear clan slanneshi force

Attitude toward the civil war:
Neutral. Leaning towards the khainites

Short bio/story/description (stress on short ):

The Darkspear clan was originally a part of Morathi's personal army. It is "official" and many a times the Darkspear clan wage wars throughout the world at Morathi's bidding. Although she was not a head of the family, Veronia Darkspear rise into prominence as she was Morathi's apprentice since the Sundering. All went well until the Sotrm of Chaos. Morathi declared herself as a Slannesh worshipper and demanded her apprentice to do the same. Although Veronia did the same...it was onli in name and she can't even cast slannesh magic [that's y i used an annoited]. A junior member of the clan, Lilth Darkspear was to become the general of the slanneshi force and head the lustrian invasion. but lilth loyalthy is still to her clan of course. Due to these developments, the darkspear clan felt betrayed and they secretly went over to Malekith to serve as his spies. Veronia Darkspear is sent to the Empire to participate in the Storm of chaos while Lilth Darkspear was sent to lustria. but Morathi began to know about the betrayer of the house and she block the darkspear clan's attempts to retrn to Nagarroth when the Soc is over.[the Clan do not own any black Arks] thus Veronia Darkspear is trapped in the old world and lilth in lustria,

what Morathi didn't know is that both generals have found a way to cross the oceans and now the darkspear clan armies are actually united again in Albion...waiting for Malekith's orders to strike
In my land, everyone calls me the darkspear. The most famous spearmen commander of all.

Name:
Lord Antelioch Makshoui

Attitude Towards Civil War
Well, he wants to kill Asur, as just 2 decades ago, his city was vanquished into exile from Eatiene. So he doesn't give a shiz about the Temple, he doesn't give a shiz about the Cult, but all he wants is too kill the twisted Asur for daring to exile him. Note, he's a little crazy

Short Bio:
He was born in Eatiene, Ulthuan. He grew to the age of 345, when a detachment of 20 Swordmasters appeared outside of his hometown. A Lord 'Tzai' emerged from it, and said that traitors were said to be brewing in that town, and that their mage would interrogate them immediatly to make sure there were none. Antelioch stepped up and refused this, bellowing outrage. The villagers soon took up arms, shouting at the Swordmasters and their Lord. Tzai ordered the Swordmasters to cut them down, saying that they were all traitors to Ulthuan. Antelioch, his wife, Mõdre, son Kush'n, and daughters Kara and Manila, stood foreward and took down the force, with the weight of 500 villagers behind them. For 10 years after that, Eatiene forces scoured the lands, hunting this group down while it gathered in number from all the angry Elf villagers. When they sighted a group of 500 Dragon Princes camping outside of their makshift city, they immideatly boarded a large vessel being built, the "Fallen Wave" and headed towards Naggaroth. They landed towards the Chaos Border, and established a prospering city, called "Ruined Falls" there. Now the weight of the city has gone down to Dictator Pass under the orders of Antelioch to fight their twisted kin for Arnhiem.

(while they're gone Khorne forces infest the city, only to be enslaved on their return. That is, if they survive Kala's bloodthirsty greed)

Bio:Morakhan was awarded a black dragon for his successful raids against the asur. However his extreme taste for killing & destruction, ment that he never brought any slaves. The temples of khaine refused aiding him with troops & tried a series of assassination attempts. This only led to Morakhan got a paranoid & outrageous behavior in the witchkings court. Asuming that it was the cult of pleasure that were behind these assassination attempts, Morakhan gathered his forces & marched north to kill slaanesh invanders

Name of General and/or Faction: Colonel Lord Karelon Lengoth of Melphular is eldest surviving son of March Warder Lord Saur Lengoth of Melphular of the Southwestern March. He fights the Asur under the command of Gate Governor Lord Kala of the Wrath Gate

Attitude toward the civil war: Karelon could care less for the sectarian fight between the Cult and the Temple. On the other hand the opportunity to prove himself in battle against the Asur and especially while under the command of such a legendary commander as Lord General Kala is to be embraced but once in a lifetime. Only on the field of battle does he know that he can prove himself in the eyes of his Father and his King. Malakith.

Short bio/story/description (stress on short): Karelon is the eldest surviving son of the March Warder Lord Saur. His elder brothers have died in their efforts to prove themselves worthy Druchii and thus worthy to be their Father’s successor to the circlet and chair of the March. He came to serve General Kala as a captain of a House raider warband. He led his warband and latter battalion and other battalions in the defense of the Pass and attacks against the Asur in their now aborted offensive against the Wrath Gate. He became noted for his collection of Asur ears as testament of the casualties inflicted against the Asur and their Bretonnian allies. He is also noted for his rashness in initiating combat, but this is due to this need to prove his abilities in battle and gain promotions as fast as possible. He now commands the forces in the Maibd Pass, totaling now (Dec 1st) 14 Battalions of 1,000 each and a bodyguard of 500 effectives in both the defense of the Wrath Gate and the attacks against the Asur 6th Gate of Arnhelm.

"The Black Sun"
- Led by the Sorceress Karst Ether'Rage and the Anointed; Xizor, The Dark Prince.

Attitude toward the civil war:
Whilst we and temple of Khaine have our differences, the Druchii race cannot support such heavy casualties from an uneeded civil war. Why fight between each other when we could be crushing our true foe - the Asur.

Short bio/story/description (stress on short ):
The Black Sun experianced a wealth of success during the campaign into Lustria and on there return have found themselves thrusted into another war. Whilst Prince Xizor will gladly take the head of any who oppose Morathi, deep down the Black Sun understand that surely there must be a bigger picture to be seen...
