Wrath gate:
Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Lost
Comments=Size: 6000 points of Dark Elves vs. 3000 points of High Elves

Following his previous battles of yesterday, Prince Aethran continued
to fight with all his strength to defend the Gate, The two Highborns,
Korak and his brother Arkhaeith, thought to surprise Aethran. Riding on
Dragonback, the two brothers engaged Aethran in the skies while the
monstrous Druchii force engaged the weakened Asur army. Despite the valiant
efforts of Archmage Dalmar, the Asur were pushed back towards the gate,
seemingly unable to hold against the vast tide of screaming Druchii.
The two brothers, on their black dragons, relentlessly hammered at
Aethran, trying to find some gap in his defence that would allow them to
punch through and slay the valiant elf. Bellerophon fought well, his
flaming breath finally proving the doom of one of the Highborn Druchii, but
the other brother only pressed harder against Aethran. It was not until
the Highborn had tired that Aethran could drive his blade into the body
of the dragon, finally slaying it. With the two Druchii on foot, they
stood no chance against Aethran, and he slew one and chased the other
off the field. Paralyzed by the loss of their leader, the Druchii force
was forced back by the weary elves. However, while those last few
minutes of battle had proved crucial to the Asur, their losses were so
catastrophic that they were unable to press the advantage. The bloodied and
battered Asur fought well, repulsing many Dark Elves, but in the end, it
was all for naught. The sheer number of kills, while the Asur had
killed comparatively more than their hated cousins had of them, they were
left with but twelve elves, including Aethran and Bellerophon. Dalmar had
been struck down by a Hydra.The Asur withdrew, but they had killed so
many Druchii that they were confident that there would be no more
attacks for some time. Archmage Dalmar would recover, they said, but it would
take some time.

Final score: High Elves killed 4000 points worth of Dark Elves, but
lost 2500 points worth of troops.

6th Gate:
Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Points: 2000 HE against 4000 DE

This battle simulates as Aethran retreats to Arnhelm to recover from
his losses, a Druchii force chases after him. Aethran, aided by the
forces of Prince of Nagarythe Inarion, turns to face the Druchii.
Aethran fought long and hard, and repulsed the Druchii force. The
leaders, Highborn Mekithar and High Sorceress Elau'arn, survived, but the
rest of the Dark Elf force was held, and a draw achieved.

Final score: HE lost 1014 points of troops, DE lost 2311 points.

Man, I was just going to post my fluff for the special battle I mentioned earlier, with the fluff being at the Wrath Gate - I'll rework it right now for it to be at the 6th gate and post it shortly.

Tim -

Once we post your fluff, I intend to split the 6th gate into 3 sides - Khaine, Slaanesh, and HE ... this will represent the confusion and infighting that you were attempting to create. Assuming we get the Batrep all squared away in time, we'll put it up next week.

Also, when do you want Regulus rescued?

Thanks,
J

Jeff ~ Here's a fluffy story behind the confusion. It is based on the battle, but doesn't follow my army composition (in the story its an all shadow warriors force) - but does follow the pace of the battle (my pre round shooting whiped out a lot of his forces, and my scouts killed off most of his characters and warriros). If you want one that is more true to the specifics of the battle let me know, but here is my story:

Enthardon leaned out over the cliff face and looked down on the winding trail below. With the Wrath Gates shut, the enemy druchii forces were now pressing in on the construction site of the 6th gate. As Enthardon’s scouts reported in to him, opportunity presented itself. There were two significant forces marching in the area – one under the banner of the Cult and one loyal to Khaine. A quarter of the Slaaneshi forces had been dispatched ahead of the main force to find the location of the Khanite force and rezvendous with them. Once he learned of this he dispatched a letter to Shannar, a Sea Lord of longstanding friendship, and quickly went on his way with his finest shadow bands to intercept the enemy.

Now Enthardon was eyeing the enemy force from the cliff face. The force consisted mostly of druchii warriors, but also had a sizeable amount of Devotees of Slaanesh, who Enthardon learned just a few days ago were deadly in combat. As he watched his dark kin progress down the path, the Shadow Prince turned to his right for any sign of the scout he had dispatched earlier. He had been waiting a few hours, but finally a rustle of the dry brush on the cliff signaled the scout’s arrival. “Sea Lord Shannar reports that they are ready, and are far enough down the path of the Slaaneshi for us to get into position.” With a nod of his head, Enthardon traveled back down to the mountain valley below.

An hour’s march away from the Slaaneshi, Enthardon exited the dense forest onto the rough mountain path, and in front of him stood the Sealord Shannar with a contingent of Sea Guard and three Reaper Bolt Throwers. “Shannar, I am glad you received my message. Are these Reaper’s ready to go?”

Shannar nodded, “We have enough of the druchii bolts to fire three volleys from all of the machines. Are you doing anything else to sow treachery among their ranks?”

The Aesenar smiled and signaled for his shadow warriors to approach the two elves. One of the warriors revealed a container with druchii runes emblazed on it. “Poison, the kind used by the Temple of Khaine. My warriors raided the supply train of General Kala and found it.” He smiled as he had the blades of his shadow warriors dipped in the poison. “Remember that these swords are to be destroyed when we return – they will carry that dark taint of our cousins on them for all eternity.” And as such, Enthardon did not dip his magical blades in the poison as his kin did. Preparations continuing, a lone Shadow Warrior ran to their position, coming from the direction of the Slaaenshi. “Lord Enthardon, the enemy is upon us, and are within range of the Repeaters.”

Enthardon looked at Shannar and nodded, “I’ll move through the forest, wait for my signal to fire.” The Sea Lord nodded in return, and Enthardon with his Shadow Warriors disappeared into the dense forest, running to intercept the Slaaneshi. As the enemy came into view, Enthardon unveiled a different arrow from his quiver and aimed through a gap in the trees, firing it straight up into the air. As the Moon Bow sent it high into the sky, a brilliant red explosion lit up the evening air.

Enthardon watched through the trees – the Slaaneshi stopped dead in their tracks. The Sorceress commanding them scrambled to look for a wizard, and as they were looking for the cause of the red explosion, Enthardon could hear the snapping of torsion powered war machines in the distance. With a scream, the Sorceress knew exactly what was fired at them. In one fell swoop, the first two ranks of druchii warriors collapsed to the volley of bolt fire. The remaining enemy began to scramble, some went into the woods, and some raised their shields to the sky and attempted to double-time it to the source of the attacks. Another twang of bolt throwers firing their payload signaled more druchii falling, another wave of Crossbowelves collapsing.

Watching the Slaaneshi scramble into cover, Enthardon knew that if he waited for the last volley to fire they would have dispersed and they could not be wiped out. He fired one last magical arrow into the sky, this time resulting in a dark blue explosion. The third volley never came, but Enthardon’s shadow warriors surged into the clearing, poisoned blades at the ready. Enthardon and his personal band lept onto the cold one knights in a frenzy, slaughtering the riders before they knew what was going on. The twin rune blades Enthardon carried sought the blood of the devotees of slaanesh, and scoured the unarmored druchii with ease. The Slaaneshi had no time for a cohesive response, the combination of two reaper volleys and a surprise attack from the flank was too much. They attempted to retreat, but the fifty shadow warriors Enthardon had mustered cut them down. In the end, bloodied corpses riddled with poison and druchii bolts littered the path.

Enthardon smiled, “Our job here is done, lets help the Sea Lord remove the enemy bolt throwers.”

The High Sorceress was speechless as she examined the force that she had dispatched – or the remains of it. It was very clear who did this – poison filled half of the corpses of her followers, and the other were riddled with the bolts of the reaper bolt throwers. “This will be avenged, and the dogs of Khaine will pay dearly.”

Oh and as for Regulus - I'd say not just yet, let this event hit the druchii and then he can be rescued.....

Mark Leamon has posted yet another 14 logs with all Asur wins in a row. I don't think those are real, but what to do?
Besides, they are all posted at Wrath Gate, which should be closed by now.

6th Gate:
Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Points: 3000 HE vs. 3000 DE.
Scenario: The High Elves must break through the Dark Elf army blocking
them to get off the Dark Elf player's board edge.

Aethran has embarked on a quest to rescue Prince Regulus, accompanied
as always by the Archmage Dalmar. Together with forces that Dalmar has
called from the White Tower, Aethran regrouped his force and set out for
his goal. It wasn't long before he encountered another enemy, Kelmarth,
a Druchii Highborn who had sworn to see the Asur Prince dead. Mounted
on his Black Dragon, Kelmarth challenged the Asur Prince, while the
Prince's army engaged their hated cousins all about. While the Archmage was
embroiled in a magical battle with the Dark Elven High Sorceress
Kalleia, Aethran and Kelmarth fought. Once more, Aethran's enchanted sword
proved the bane of the Black Dragon the Druchii rode, Bellerophon was
also gravely wounded. However, when the Highborn was on the ground, he
struck out at Aethran, striking the Prince with a near-mortal wound. As
the Prince reeled in his saddle, Bellerophon lashed out, tearing the head
from the Highborn's shoulders. Carrying his injured master, the dragon
moved to attack., Yet the Prince's troubles were not yet over.
Bellerophon was struck by a doombolt directed at him from a wand held by the
Druchii Noble, Arikath. Dalmar's quick action magically transported the
near-death dragon (It had lost all wounds, and Aethran was now on foot
with one wound remaining) to a place where it could recover (fluff
purposes), leaving Aethran on foot. The vengeful elf proceeded straight for
the chariot the Dark Elf rode, joining what was left of the
Swordmasters after their fierce battle with the Executioners. Arikath's chariot
was destroyed under him, and the Noble leaped into combat, where he was
promptly slain by Bladelord Gahennas. By now, all the Druchii forces
were running or dead. Aethran surveyed his own army, picked out the best
of the infantry and Ellyrion Reavers, and sent the rest back to Arnhelm
with Dalmar. Meanwhile, accompanied by a small force, he proceeded into
the land of Naggaroth.

Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Points: 2000 HE vs. 3000 combined DE army (Rakarth leads 2000
points worth, Tullaris leads 1000 points worth).
Scenario: While Aethran begins his stealth campaign through Naggaroth,
he has somehow attracted the attention of the Beastlord Rakarth
himself. Alongside Tullaris of Har Ganeth, who has heard of this so-called
"Dragonslayer", as Aethran has become known, thanks to him defeating a
number of Black Dragons in previous battles, comes with his Executioners,
determined to defeat the Asur Prince. The scenario is a breakthrough,
where the Asur must reach the Druchii starting edge of the board.

Prince Aethran, without his dragon companion Bellerophon, has reverted
to the training he was given by the Swordmasters of Hoeth. Lifting his
elven greatsword for the first time in years, he is journeying towards
the place where Regulus remains imprisoned. However, with his new-found
title of Dragonslayer, given to him by the elves who follow his lead,
he attracted the attention of two very dangerous Dark Elves. The
Beastlord Rakarth, and Tullaris of Har Ganeth. These two fearsome foes quickly
embarked to kill the Asur Prince before he could break through, and
possibly kill any more of the Black Dragons.
The battle started when the Shadow Warriors conducted a swift strike,
their arrows penetrating Druchii armour and killing two Executioners.
Tullaris, noticing this, charged the elves of Nagarythe, who wisely fled
back into the shadows. Tullaris pursued, to no effect. Meanwhile,
Rakarth and Bracchus soared over the battlefield, charging into the flank of
the White Lions, whose position was the result of an oversight Aethran
had made. The Lions broke from combat, fleeing the spectacle of the
massive dragon looming over them. Rakarth, instead of chasing them down,
moved onward, towards the core of the force, where the Swordmasters
marched, Aethran among them. However, the Swordmaster's had something else
on their minds. Chiefly, the Executioners who were bearing down on
them. The chance to engage their presumed equal;s was overwhelming to the
Swordmasters, and with Aethran among them, they charged, their fine
elven greatswords whirling in the air as they met the Executioners in
combat.
Tullaris and Aethran finally came face to face. Aethran had slain four
of the Executioners himself, but upon seeing the deadly warrior before
him, Aethran calmly, in a single move, sheathed his greatsword and
unlimbered his magical shield. Trusting in the spark of Asuryan's flame he
wore about his neck, within a small amulet, he engaged the Executioner.
Aethran's first blows were probing, designed to discern any weaknesses
in Tullaris' defence. He found none, and was unable to penetrate the
armour of his opponent. Tullaris hit hard, his deadly axe slamming into
Aethran's shield repeatedly. But the magical flame gave strength to the
Asur Prince, and he withstood the blows. Then he struck back, hammering
home a series of blows that left Tullaris bleeding from a cut in his
side, where Aeathran had penetrated his armour. Tullaris, inflamed by
this High Elf's ability to hurt him, struck home with even more power, his
axe whirling in crazed arcs as he battered his way through Aethran's
defences. AS the High Elf reeled back, Tullaris was about to deliver a
killing blow, but the magic of the flame once more saved Aethran from
death. Then Aethran finally unleashed his full speed and skill, throwing
himself into a series of blows that sent Tullaris to his knees. The
Executioner looked at Aethran, hatred in his face. The elf swung his sword.
The head of Tullaris rolled in the dirt. With the loss of their leader,
the Executioners seemed stunned, and when the Swordmasters began to
inflict heavy wounds onto their number, aided by Aethran's rejoining the
combat, they died to the last man.
The rest of the fight was an effective rout. After seeing Prince
Aethran Dragonslayer defeat Tullaris, Rakarth began to re-eveluate the
chances of defeating this elf who seemed to have a death wish. Under the
elf's command, the Swordmasters threw themselves back into the combat,
relentlessly hacking their way through the Dark Elf Spearmen. Rakarth's
Cold One Knights, led by a Noble, had their mounts suffer from a bout of
stupidity, and ambled along, effectively ignoring the Swordmasters
bearing down on them. With Aethran striking down two of their number, one of
them the noble, and the Swordmasters accounting for the rest, Rakarth's
army, or what was left of it, left the battlefield, pondering how best
to defeat this Asur. Perhaps a night attack....
However, for Aethran, this was just the beginning, He had defeated his
foe, Tullaris, but his Swordmasters were depleted. He would need more
men. The lone mage, Amarath, who accompanied him, had some ideas for
bringing more through to aid Aethran, but the Prince ignored him, and has
pressed onwards, moving stealthily towards the place where the Asur
Prince Regulus remains trapped.
Whether or not there is already a rescue attempt underway doesn't
bother Aethran. No matter the cost, he will fulfill his vow.

DOes he have opponents email we can confirm with? I ran a query on asur with his general's name and I found out a guy by the name of Eldacar has posted it on my site. I will PM him on Asur.org if you can't confirm those wins, 14 wins in a sandbag seems way too much in my opinion.

This West Ely has posted one battle in the 6th Gate during these last few days. I think it's a standard Warhammer game, so I will count it. Tell me if you want to remove this win for HE.

Reports for Warth gate are to be directed to 6th gate, right?

Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Points: 10,000 HE vs. 10,000 DE (this battle took up four
days)
Scenario: Aethran has connected up with his allies as they have
filtered in from the Old World, as well as some that have arrived from
Ulthuan. The combined force marches against their most hated foe, Keraphir of
Naggaroth. The Druchii Highborn has been a thorn in Aethran's side
since Albion, and has gathered allies to his banner to finish Aethran for
good. In this scenario, whichever side kills the opponent's general
gains +2000 VP's (because of the massive size of the battle).

End Result: Aethran vanquished his foe. with Bellerophon fully healed,
and Aethran riding him, the Prince devoted much of his time searching
the battlefield, slaying powerful monsters with his Foe Bane, named the
Black Sword by those who follow him. When he finally encountered his
foe, the Prince and Highborn fought for a long whiile, neither able to
best the other (three turns from an eight-turn game). In the end, Aethran
drove his blade through the Highborn Dark Elf, accepting a wound in the
process, before he finished the wounded Black Dragon with a single
punishing blow . While the Druchii fought on, their magic was rendered
ineffectual by the powerful Asur mages, led by Archmages Dalmar and Ailron.
Prince Miravar, trained by the White Lions of Chrace, rampaged through
the Druchii lines at the head of the Silver Helms, while Prince Aeion,
mounted on his faithful Griffon, Starclaw, aided Aethran in defeating
two opposing Druchii Nobles. One casualty, however, was Prince Caradath
of Caledor, who led the Dragon Princes. Foolishly, he charged the
daemonettes of Slaanesh, summoned by the Cult of Pleasure High Sorceress
Xalenia. While the Dragon Princes proved victorious in this struggle, it
was when they came up against the Keeper of Secrets, Malfeast, that they
were defeated. Caradath, his Caledorian pride forbidding him to flee,
challenged the Keeper. While the Asur Prince fought bravely, he was no
match for the Keeper, and was defeated, but not before his sword of Sea
Gold had badly wounded Malfeast, weakening him enough that the wounded
Aethran and Aeion were able to banish the Keeper back to the Realm of
Chaos, the second time Aethran had been forced to confront Malfeast and
banish him. He has undoubtedly earned the enmity of the creature, but
seems unworried.
With the remnants of the Druchii force fleeing from the victorious High
Elves, Aethran pondered his next move. Should he pursue the defeated
Dark Elves, possibly overunning them and crashing into an even mightier
force, or should he recoup his losses and hold the ground he has taken?

Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Points: 2000 HE vs. 4000 DE
End Result: 300 VP's to him, and Aethran got off the correct table
edge, so it was a draw, although he lost nearly his whole army, so we ended
up counting it as a win to the HE, after a discussion amongst
ourselves.
Scenario: With the gigantic battle that Aethran fought now over, the
Prince has decided to retreat back towards Arnhelm, rather than risk
losing his entire force. However, a vengeful High Sorceress, seeking to
capture the Prince, has pursued him with a force easily capable of
stopping him. Aethran must get off one side of the board, starting from the
other, fighting through the Druchii on the way. If the HE fulfill both
objectives (getting the general off the board and slaying an equivalent
amount of Druchii (e.g 1000 points have to kill 1500 points), then it is
a win. Fulfilling one is a draw, fulfilling none is a win to the Dark
Elves.

Aethran was without Bellerophon, his dragon, for this battle, since we
decided that it would give him a huge advantage. Instead, he was
mounted on a barded elven steed, and marched with the Dragon Princes.
With the Dark Elves all mounted, led by a Druchii Anointed on a Steed
of Slaanesh and a High Sorceress on her Dark Pegasus, the Dark Elves
quickly caught up with the trailing edges of the Asur. Although the High
Elves gave a good accounting of themselves, it was only when Aethran
turned himself around and challenged the Druchii Anointed, killing him,
that the Cult's advance was stopped. Aethran, now on his own while the
Dragon Princes slowed down the advance of the Cold One knights, In the
end, Aethran escaped from the board, cutting down the Sorceress on his
way. The rest of his army gave a good accounting of themselves, defeating
half again their number, although they died to the last man.
