Nagathi ~ Who is it? Is it wcley@hotmail.com that is posting the man o'war? Just curious, that is Shannar on my site and I know that his gaming club is really into MoW. Keep me posted ...

Yep, that's the guy. With around 40 logs, of wich 39 is wins, I get kinda suspicious...

Really? Okay, I'll talk to him asap. 39-1 does sound rather suspicious too, perhaps he submitted a bunch of times on accident? I dunno, but regardless I'll figure out whats going on

Hey here is the PM from West (wcley@hotmail.com):

Actually it's not even close to 39-1. It's more like 20 (if it's that high)-2.
Have them check, because we've been reporting our wins and losses like we are supposed to. I also know I've reported 2 losses. Tell them to cut the wins in half, and let me know if we arn't both supposed to report battles (the directions said we were). I know I havn't reported more then one game any day except one saturday where I did two. Also my whole group just reports from my computer immediatly after the game, so some may be wins for another player (check the e-mail addresses).

So hopefully everything is cleared up soon...

15 Wins and 2 losses (after careful counting).
Since both the winner and the loser uses the same mail address to send the report, it could very well be 30 wins and 4 losses posted by the same guy. I don't want to look like the evil guy, but could you tell his opponent (the same every time) to reply to the mail I sent a few days ago? And tell them to post their logs from different mail addresses in the future (using the form langmann posted in the F&B forum if they can't use different computers).

Yeah definetly. You don't look like the bad guy - I'm on the same page you are, I'll let him now thats what you'd like to have done.

Cut him off - nobody plays that much Man O War in that short a time. It's a decent game, but it's not that good. Besides, we have enough sea battles for good fluff at this point.

Nagathi -

Also, it looks like we have the focus on Ghrond - drop back to 1 point per win

Thanks,

Ok, he has been cut off until further notice. If you want him to know anything about this action, let Enth talk to him.
Ghrond is now back at 1 point per log.

Jeff and Nagathi ~

I already talked to him and said that you guys have enough MOW for the fluff and he said no problem. There shouldn't be any more submissions.

*However* He did want to say that in one battle he sank a black ark, at the cost of 3/4 of his fleet - may make some good fluff, may not. Just passing that along..... it may prove good fluff especially since per Man of War High Elves cannot build any new Dragonships, so it would represent a pricey victory.....

Page updated with 20 extra wins in Wrath gate (got to 66% vs 34% in favour of Druchii). Otherwise it's kinda slow. Only a handful of reports each day.

Extra wins? Were they actually reported or did you guys do that to make things interesting per the fluff? Just curious...

I think because our system have a strong disincentive to cheat (unlike the GW system) that what we are seeing for the most part is real games. Because to be honest, who plays much more than once a week except for a kid with lots of time on his hands and a brother nearby to beat on.

We have 250+ reports over 1 month, I think that is quite successful.
While running a million dollar company, singing at weddings, and his frequent jetting to Spain Elton Jon style, Dark Alliance found the time to stand on the doorstep of Games Workshop like Moses and the Pharoah and calmly state, "Let my people go."

No, the extra wins were the result of Gen. Kala's battle report. His win represents a "significant event" for the Druchii and was reflected by a large number of wins.

We are trying to set these up at multiple locations - it's the same thing I talked to you about at the 6th Gate.

Gotcha gotcha - I'm on the same page. My battle report got muddled I think and I have yet to post fluff for it - but my special scenario was Enthardon planting massacres of troops to make it look like the Temple of Khaine was after the Cult around Arnhelm - use that fluff how you want, but I figured that would trigger infighting between forces to see a whole cultist force massacred at the apparent hands of the temple....

That could work well, actually ... please make sure that I see it before you post it so that I can get it in the fluff before it goes "live" so to speak.

I might not have time to post the weekly update tomorrow, but I'll send jeff the numbers (the whole xls file) and he can do whatever he wants to. If I do not see another update by Sunday, I might write it myself by then.

For those who think I'm getting a bit lazy about this updating; I've been writing the TBF ini site, and updated the ToK and CoP ones all afternoon.

Please keep it off line until we have had a chance to look at it. Want to make sure it breaks in the campaign site before it hits the web.

Wrath gate:
Players_Side=High Elves
Outcome=Won
Comments=Prince Aethran rode his dragon, Bellerophon, and between the
two of them, they wreaked havoc on the enemy. Aethran was protected from
the magical weapons of his foes by the magic of the Talisman he wore.
Aethran had just arrived, having flown from dragonback all the way from
the Old World to fight for Ulthuan. His foe, the Highborn Makrath,
faced Aethran in single combat, and was cut down by the magical Foe Bane
Aethran wielded. Makrath's army retreated from the field, having been
thouroughly defeated by the victorious Asur.

Wrath Gate:
Players_Side= Druchii
Outcome= Won by Solid Victory
Comments= Noble Irulthan slaughtered several of the pesky silver helms
as they charged out from the gate. HIs black feathetred bolts took
down a giant eagle, but the glorious victory could not have been
reached without the help of the sturdy chariots. The enemy commander
tried to swing the battle into the very last minute, but there was no
chance of survival. Khaine will be pleased with noble Irulthan's
progress.
Outcome= Won by Minor Victory
Comments= After Irulthan's previous victory over the mounted force, he
turned around to face the threat from behind. He had heard of a big
force of silver helms, dragon princes and ellyrion reavers closing in
on him from behind. He readied himself for the thundering advance, and
yet again did his reaper bolt throwers their job. Many a silver helm
fell with a bolt piercing their armour, and many more got crushed
between the jaws of the savage cold ones. Nevertheless, the dragon
princes proved to be a pesky unit to destroy. The armour was as if it
has been a foot thick, and nothing got through. A slight victory for
the khainites.
Players_Side= Druchii
Outcome= Won by Solid Massacre
Comments= (My last game against this guy in our Warhammer Weekend):
Irulthan moved away from the last battle with not much left. After his
forces had been rejuvenated and replenished, another threat appeared.
A young commander had taken aim at Irulthan's force with the sole
intent on destroying it for good. With a pack of trees standing tall
in the middle of the field, the young Asuriyan commander had to divide
his advancing army into two attacking forces. With the skillful
generalship of Irulthan, he quickly outmanouevred the two closing
forces. The riding scouts easily dispatched a regiment of dragon
ptinces and ran them down as they fled away as the cowards they are.
The harpies came from above and ran down both enemy chariots. Not a
single Asur was left alive. Praise be to Khaine on this glorious day!
(No Asur models left on the table when my 4th turn was to begin!!!)

A "Friday Update" comes in a few minutes. Just need to put it on the site and update that one first.
