Attacking the druchii supply lines.

Nachri was ordered to go to one of the mountains passes to attack the druchii supply lines. Now his eagle’s phalanx was in a forest. They were moving swift and without noise. Suddenly, a scream could be heart. A few moments later, a group of shades jumped out of the trees on top of the suprised seaguard. But the years of training on a ship prepared the seaguard for such a strike. Although the druchii had the advantage. Slowly the High elfs gained the upper hand. The shades couldn’t hold their positions anymore and they fled, but the seaguard fired volley after volley towards them. Only their leader kept going.

The seaguard followed him swiftly on a hill. There they saw him, standing next to a pile of straw. He grabed a torch. “You stupid asur, you may have defeated us, but you will not survive long.” With the torch, he lit the fire. After this, the druchii cut his throat, because his master didn’t accept failure. They ran of the hill in the forest. They continued running until they reached the road. There they saw the dark elf convoy. They quickly fired their arrows and they ran towards the druchii. The druchii, suprised about the fact their reinforcements weren’t able to catch the high elfs, lost courage and they fled. The high elfs quickly released the horses of the druchii. As the horses ran towards the trees, Nachri and his men fired flaming arrows towards the convoy.

But now it seemed the retreat of the guards was just a tactical move. From both sides of the valley, marauders ran down to stop the high elfs from retreating. A large group of chaos warriors of slaanesh was running towards the high elfs. The tallest amongst them was Melkhar. The seaguard moved away from the chaos warriors. But they would fail to reach the end of the valley, the marauders were too fast, despîte being humans. Nonetheless they didn’t stop but before them were already a few regiments of marauders. The high elfs reformed into a solid wall of shields and then they awaited the charge of the chaos warriors.

As the marauders came closer, Nachri jumped forward and ran towards the trees. His guards followed him. Suprised by this move. The elfs managed to reach the woods. The chaos warriors were slowed down by their heavy armour, but the marauders managed to reach the high elfs. Unfortunatly for them their axes were to short and a lot of them breathed for the last time that moment. But the high elfs had to retreat. After a volley of their white feathered arrows, the elfs disengaged. This time, the marauders weren’t able to follow them. The high elfs made it to the fortifications defending the construction site. They carried the dead bodies of their comrades with them. Though they completed their objective, the presence of a force of slaaneshi worshippers was not a good sign. But that are problems for later, united the high elfs will be able to stop the druchii.
