Lots of people seem to be creating army blogs on the boards as they develop there armies. this leads to a few problems. the first is there's lots of extra threads of the same nature, and the second is that they may go a week or two without and posts and then get an update. this isn't too much of a problem unless threads start to die out and then get new posts and people can get annoyed with necromancy.
Anyway, lots of these threads can often be quite interesting, and i was thinking that perhaps we could have a board just for army blogs, and then remove the necromancy restriction on it, so people can keep a tread going for 6 months to a year or longer.
of course the alternative is to just get people to host blogs them selves and link to it with highlights, although this might promote extra threads...
Just a thought

You mean subforum in Druchii Discussion forum? I think it is great idea, also blogging is very popular here, although blog threads seems to be scattered all around, in P&M forum for example, but P&M forum isn't best suited for army development ie. battles played, plans, themes etc.

oh yeah, forgot to add that, lots of the blogs seem to be scattered about the site, and would help tidy things up.
Bandwidth isn't too much of a problem because pictures are hosted elsewhere. my understanding of it is that druchii.nets bandwidth isn't used it the pics are hosted elsewhere.

Ok PieChee well in that case i am all for it! however this has, as far as i know, been suggested before (unless im thinking of something else) with little result.
Perhaps you can do a kind of web-petition in this thread. If the mods/admins see that enough people want it perhaps they will make it happen.

*sighs*
Necromancy is only necromancy if you dont add to the thread. If you make a blog about your army and add with new pictures tales of battles lost that ended up with you crying like a girl. Then it isnt necromancy. And since pictures are allowed all over now (as long as you write that it is pic heavy) I dont see a need for a new folder (in fact since me and Rork spent hours this summer reducing the number of folders since people dont even see all the ones we have at the moment). So if your blog will be mostly about the painting, put it in the painting folder. Or if it is mostly on battles then you know where that goes. Or just put it in the battle report folder and I doubt anyone will biatch (in fact if they do I will kill them).
I am STRONGLY against a new folder, like I said people dont see all the folders we have at the moment.
