I haven't played Man o War in a long time but I kinda wish they would add it to their specialist games range. Its a pretty fun game. Unfortunatley I live in the states though. Good Luck finding an opponent.
Anyone else find it kinda interesting that DE will not use gun powder because its unreliable but seem to have no problem using cold ones?

Hmm, you'll be lucky, man o war died quite a while back to my knowledge, though it would have been a game I wouldn't have minded trying out.

Your best bet for things like that is probably going on ebay and taking a look there. I've seen plenty of man o war stuff on there in the past.

Man o war is a great game. Not balanced at all but a lot of fun to play.

The Dark Elf fleet is pretty good. The Black Ark is an awesome model and have some cool special rules...

you can find fleets on ebay. Dark Elves are not cheap though...

EBAY!! I just bought a copy of Man-o-war there and am always looking for new purchaces.

The game could be balanced assuming that you take only the basic fleets offered in the main rulebook. Once you start getting into the plague fleet, skaven and chaos dwarves you have serious balance issues.

I have a DE fleet comming in the mail right now (I hope) from Italy. I'm looking foward to its arrival.

Underway is right. Stick to the basic set. The expansions mucked things up a lot, taking a good game and throwing it completely off balance.

*grins*... I hope I'm not breaking any rules here, but the rules are also available for download:
http://dougram.battletechnology.org/Gam ... /Rules.htm

And no, unfortunately not playing (yet)...

WHAT!!! But they don't have the templates do they? What about the compendiums. OMG! I cannot wait to get home and check this website out (my work firewall blocks access to URL with "games" in the title).

As for my spending spree... oh well, I have the book now...;)

thanks for all of the advice im currently bidding for some dark elf fleets which i hope to win but if not ill just have to convert some doom revers and death fortresses. i think using hydra heads would be good and large dragon head for the black ark any ideas? opponents are a prob but my usual warhammer bud is willing to try the game. dose any1 know any good clubs in london s.e?

Sorry, just noticed it... New link should be:
http://dougram.battletechnology.org/Tab ... anOWar.htm

Edit: the above has quite a lot of information, the rulebooks though (that could be downloaded first!) seemed to have been taken offline. I'll try to search up some more information on this.

The rules for fliers are in Sea of Blood supplement.

They are not downloadable on that link.
