Basic WHFB combat statistics (Calculator!)

I know this is a little mundane compared to some of the other statistical analysis on druchii.net, but here goes a handy little tabel that shows the average number of wounds one ordinary attack will cause against an enemy.

What use you can make of it, you'll have to figure out yourself.

To hit....To wound...............Armoursave (after modifiers)
................................None......6+........5+.......4+.......3+.......2+

...3+...........2+...........0.56.....0.46.....0.37.....0.28.....0.19.....0.09
...3+...........3+...........0.44.....0.37.....0.30.....0.22.....0.15.....0.07
...3+...........4+...........0.33.....0.28.....0.22.....0.17.....0.11.....0.06
...3+...........5+...........0.22.....0.19.....0.15.....0.11.....0.07.....0.04
...3+...........6+...........0.11.....0.09.....0.07.....0.06.....0.04.....0.02

...4+...........2+...........0.42.....0.35.....0.28.....0.21.....0.21.....0.07
...4+...........3+...........0.33.....0.28.....0.22.....0.17.....0.11.....0.06
...4+...........4+...........0.25.....0.21.....0.17.....0.13.....0.08.....0.04
...4+...........5+...........0.17.....0.14.....0.11.....0.08.....0.06.....0.03
...4+...........6+...........0.08.....0.07.....0.06.....0.04.....0.03.....0.01

...5+...........2+...........0.28.....0.23.....0.19.....0.14.....0.09.....0.05
...5+...........3+...........0.22.....0.19.....0.15.....0.11.....0.07.....0.04
...5+...........4+...........0.17.....0.14.....0.11.....0.08.....0.06.....0.03
...5+...........5+...........0.11.....0.09.....0.07.....0.06.....0.04.....0.02
...5+...........6+...........0.06.....0.05.....0.04.....0.03.....0.02.....0.01

So quite simply multiply the average number of wounds with the number of attacks to find the statistically average kill score when a unit strikes at an opponent unit.

What is your point.

His point is to make it easier for people who either aren't matematically skilled, or just lazy, to calculate how effective their units are in close combat. Personally I think that is a VERY good idea. I've often thought of doing something like that myself, but I don't really know how to o it (I tried to do it in Microsoft Excel).

Thanks a lot Evil on the Loose.
Oh, and I stickied it, and slightly edited the headline of the thread to make it stay in focus :)

PS. if anyone has a Excel document with that lying around, please tell me =)

Rork, bad news - I'm afraid neither Avian's nor Daeron's will work! :( I can enter the stats on Avian's but I obtain no results while Daeron's will not open at all.... And my internet is working fine so it can't be responsible.... :( Now I'm really :?

...

The links are two years old. I'd suggest you contact Avian if there's a problem with his site - we're not responsible for it.

I shall lock and de-sticky this thread soon as its content doesn't look too relevant.

Well, I think it would better if you just contacted Avian... Maybe he can fix the problem and if so, you can leave this stickied and just delete some of the posts(e.g. my last one about Daeron's non-working website) and then lock it once the edited version is done! :)
