Don't recognise them myself.

Just remembered I have an Eldar Avatar in a box somewhere. Might be digging him out soon, leading an army of Hagbane glade guard, Witch elves, doomfire warlocks, Sisters of Thorn. Wondering how much poison I can get in one list :)

They are kitbashed from the High elf lord and mage plastic boxes, with a bit of BG/Executioners. (I think there might be some bitz from the HE dragon rider(s), white lions and dragon princes as well...)

Yeah, there is a dragon prince head in there as well as a lot of the individual prince/mage bits and the Blackguard with a head swap.

My HE already look like DE so I'm not too fussed how things go. As long as silver helms and phoenix guard stay around I will be happy.

From the new WD:

"We can't tell you too much about who (or what) these characters are, except to say that they appear in an incredibly exciting scene sure to have elf fans wiping away a tear or two. So for now, our challenge is this: work out who you think they all are."

Interesting. Guesses?

High elves in general know the threat of the widowmaker (being drawn again, it will lead to the end of elves)
Tyrion lost his baby momma and his daughter... he doesn't give a damn anymore and needs to be stopped.

Teclis will not sit on the phoenix throne
neither will Alarielle reborn
Malekith remains as the rightful ruler of all elves, The Eternal King (he's the only immortal one among the abovementioned)

How did Tyrion lose Allarielle?

She went to Loren to make a pact with Isha. When she came back, he drew the widowmaker and she doesn't want to have anything to do with him anymore.

Ouch. You know, Celebrity Marriages. They never last.

My money the Dragon Prince Calador comes in, swoops her off her feet, literaly, and start the prosess of making the next Everqueen.

Spoiler time!

[Yes, look away now]

This is over on Warseer:

So there is a sample in the Itunes store of the End Times Khaine Book with the section on Malekith the Eternity King.

It goes through how everything that Malekith endured prior to walking through the flames was just a test from Asuryan. Won't go into that.

However at the end of this section it goes on to say how Teclis schemed to unmake the Great Vortex and use it's power to make eight chosen mortals the EQUAL of the chaos gods. Eight corresponding to the 8 lores of magic. He intended to bind Fire to Malekith thus completing his transformation into a "beacon of light and hope" but instead treachery and misfortune ended up binding Shadow to him instead.

So Malekith is the chosen of Shadow. Nagash of Death. Alarielle of Life. And perhaps Karl Franz is perhaps Light? That leaves us with Fire, Metal, Beasts, and Heavens. Hopefully one of the dwarf characters takes on one of these lores. I cannot imagine anything other than metal.

REALLY excited as to where this is going.

Sure, that's why Malekith will need more than a single round of combat, but each 1 rolled is d3 wounds and Tyrion is not a 10W monster that Malekith is.

Yes, that sort of hate !lol!

He is making it plain that while he wrote the book, he didn't write the storyline (GW internal team developed that).

I don't hate him. I don't like his writing and I opinion that he lacks talent but I don't hate him. GW hired him to do a fiction piece (or he asked their permission to use their IP) and he wrote to the restrictions laid out. I DO have some pretty strong feelings about the 'Brains" behind this new End of Times marketing scheme. :badh:
