CSM base sizes

Post by Mythrider »

Can anyone confirm for me what size of round base Greater Daemons and Daemon Princes are supposed to be on.

I believe they are 60mm and 40mm respectively.

I plan on using a Varghulf for my GD or DP and would like to have the proper base.

All monstrous creatures use 60mm these days.

Thanks for the help guys.

Isn't the existing DP model supplied with a 40mm?

However looking at the pics on the GW site it seems that the Nurgle DP is on a 60mm

Yet my DP came packaged with a 40mm one, and that's what I used.

GW really should include a set base size for every army list entry in future codices/army books...
Count them:

Painted in 2013: 500
Painted in 2014: 600
Painted in 2015: 854

Usualy monstrous creatures go on 60mm bases. The daemon prince and Eldar Avatar are exceptions though.

The rule in 40k is that you cannot put a model on a smaller base. A larger base is allowed though.
