I love the idea of a drop pod army, if you couldn't tell by now. So, with the release of the new plastic drop pod kits, I've decided to go ahead and make my own drop pod assault force.

I've tried to keep the army as well rounded and balanced as possible, hence the high number of tactical marines. Sternguard Veterans also worked nicely towards this end, as they can certainly hold their own in most assaults, and their specialist ammunition should let them take care of just about any problems at range.

The dreadnaughts will be on anti-armour duties, and they'll be dropping down as close to enemy tanks as I can get them to unleash melta hell on my opponent.

Any thoughts on how to improve the overall flow of the list are much appreciated, but any ideas that involve getting rid of the drop pods don't stand a chance, they're the whole reason for the army after all.
