Valkyrie / Storm Trooper question

Hi,

I was wondering if the Storm Trooper doctrine which allows them to re-roll their deep strike dice works when they deploy via grav chute insertion (they are deployed as though deep striking) from a Valkyrie or Vendetta. It seems to me as though it would, just wondering if anyone else had an opinion, or actually knew something about this.

Even though they are deploying "as though Deep Strking" they are not raelly coming from reserves, Deep Striking on the field. So no, they don't get to re-roll when deploy by grav chutes.

That's probably one of the many reasons why Storm Troopers DS on their own and Veterans jump from Valkyries
