Incoming 7th Edition
Those of you who are interested in 40k will have no doubt read some of the rumours. Certainly, the latest White Dwarf indicates some pretty large changes: the return of the psychic phase and the ability to run bound or unbound army lists being quite prominent.
What are your thoughts on these and what the seventh edition will bring?

Re: Incoming 7th Edition
AFAIK GW isn't calling it 7th, more like 6.5. I don't think it's going change the current meta all that much. I can foresee tourneys not allowing unbound lists... Unless they're the type that already runs double force org tourneys. While it's ripe for abuse, it can allow for some fluffy lists too. For example, I could run a 1st Company list of my Minotaurs SM. Their 1st company is almost all Terminators. Then again, my Necrons could bring 3 Tesseract Vaults...

Re: Incoming 7th Edition
Unbound will be great for friendly games, plenty of fluffy elder lists I would have liked to play, but were not legal.
I can see tourneys pretty much outlawing them from the off, or you will find some ridiculous lists that spam to the extreme.
Doesn't look like much in the way of major rule changes though.

Re: Incoming 7th Edition
Indeed.
New psychic powers are out and we do see a return of the psychic phase.
New allies matrix which puts an end to some of the cheesiest combos.
New tank damage table.
... and so on. Could be interesting.

Re: Incoming 7th Edition
what i find funny is the objective card... kinda like "Ticket to ride"....
Re: Incoming 7th Edition
I like the cards. It gets rid of the scramble to gain objectives at the last second. Well, you can still do that in normal scenarios, but in the scenarios that use the cards, you'll have to actually take objectives before the last round of the game.

Re: Incoming 7th Edition
I like the changing objectives idea and I actually hope they will be present in next edition of Warhammer.

So if I complete my hand before the end of the game, I can draw three more? Awesome! :p
Re: Incoming 7th Edition
Saw a BatRep recently using the new objective system and the game ended 25-22 because of the constant objective changes and had a lot of back and forth points wise.
