"Kastov, Korhedron, I think we should have discussed this earlier, but riding those damned horses doesn't leave much comfort for conversation. I've been carrying our repeater crossbow since we left the market, but I want to ask if either of you are willing to take it. I have to confess that my experince with the weapon has been limited to what was covered by basic training when I was conscripted. It would be better for all of us if the better shot out of us took the weapon, and I'd rather have my hands free to draw my blade anyway."

With that Branthon held out the crossbow and waited for thier replies. it had been awkward enough trying to ride the horse he'd been assigned without having to take care of the repeater at the same time, and he doubted he hit a charging beastman from horseback in case of an ambush. The farther north the group traveled, the closer they got to where thier prey lurked, increasing thier chances of ambush at every step. Sebelthor and his group seemed competent enough so far, but beastmen are known for being dangerously unpredictable.

IC: Korhedron turned in his saddle, so that he was nearly facing backward. "Very well, Branthon. I have a particular fondness for missile weapons, so unless Kastov here objects, I will take charge of it."

OOC: Well, this should be eminently clear. Korhedron likes ranged weapons, but, being the non-combative fellow(at least with his allies) that he is, he will let Kastov raise an objection. Otherwise he will take possession of the RxB since only himself, Kastov and Branthon have a personal interest in it, and he'd prefer not to trust anyone else with the weapon.

"I have no objections, do as you will with it, Korhedron." responded Maen. He turned about leaving the two shades to their own devices as he approached Sebelthor. Standing only a few feet from his employer, Maen looked skyward for a moment before asking quietly, "Pardon my intrusion in case you were in the middle of something, but I wish to know, how much longer until we set out again?"

Sebelthor came up behind Ar'Khale after a few minutes. "Come, we've got enough wood for the fire tonight," said the bounty hunter, leading Ar'Khale back to the camp.

When Sebelthor and Ar'Khale got back , Maen spoke briefly with Sebelthor, before being turned away with a scowl on his face. Sebelthor dumped his pile of wood by the fire, then sat down, beckoning everyone around the fire. "Now, Kastov, you asked me when we were going to leave. We leave as soon as the horses have freshened themselves and we've had something to eat. Now, onto an agenda, item one is how we hunt beastmen. Me and my brothers here are capable of tracking them, but I'm not sure of you. If you can't hunt them, then we'll split in groups by morning to track them, I'm thinking Ar'Khale and Kastov with me, and the rest of you in the other group. Now does anyone have a problem with that, or can I move on?"

Sebelthor moved on after answering any questions, saying, "Item two; how we split kills. Kills where you get someone assisting you are counted for half, and thus you should make a tie in the scalp, or cut the scalp in half and share it with the assister. Full kills are your own. Remember that because each scalp is worth five gold, half scalps will only get two gold. This is because a half kill will be rounded down. Even for us, that rule applies. Any problems thus far?"

Sorry for the delay AGAIN, but hour of the wolf and all that is taking a bit of time... as well as college and... other things...

IC: Korhedron turned to Sebelthor. "I have no further questions, please continue. But perhaps you should make some allowance for Kastov, I'm also nervous at the conditions. Even though I understand perfectly well that the horses must rest and we must eat, perhaps we can build some sort of traps at the next camp, just in case?".

OOC: Korhedron has no objections to resting the horses as he knows it is absouletely necessary, but he agrees with how Kastov feels, hence his remark about placing traps at the next campsite. He will discuss this further with Maen, if Maen looks like agreeing with Kastov.

Kalus, you're correct. OK, since I made that little botún I'm going to ask you all to clarify again what our characters are known as:
Kalus---------Kastov.
Me------------Korhedron.

"I have no other questions or any objections, you are all more expertly in this area than I... however I do wish to add that I believe that Korhedron's idea of setting traps around the next camp we may set up along the would be a wise and prudent action" offered Maen, sweeping his cloak about him in an attempt to keep the biting winds from cutting into his flesh like stinging whips. His expressions seemed anxious as he looked about his surroundings warily, his legs slightly shaking with an aching desire to keep moving without incident.

OOC - Sorry for not posting, but right now, my computer is on the brink of death, and I'm trying to save it. Luckily it stopped acting up long enough for me to make this post. I'll post ASAP when I've saved my machine.

IC:
When Ar’Khale heard he could return to the camp, he was glad. The ride had sucked up more of his strength than he had imagined. He threw his wood next to the fire, close enough for it to dry, but far enough away to prevent it inflaming uncontrolled. He sat down on a stone. Hearing the suggestion of traps, he looked up. “That sounds like a good idea indeed. I’m sure that, seen from the amount of mountain folks, we will be able to bring these beasts a nasty surprise. I think fall pits are too much work, but I certainly have some ideas. Tripwires with bells work well, as do wire-controlled bent trees. Maybe, if we can find a good spot, we can even plant stakes around a empty spot to mislead them.” Ar’Khale threw some more wood in the fire. “Now, do we have food or should some of us go hunting? I don’t fell like fighting on a empty stomach.”

OOC: Huh? I thought I already posted this.. :? Hmm, lucky me I keep it in a Word document then... As for the traps: I don't know the English names, but I have made them all in RL, and they work. the bent trees can impale a deer with ease, so it should do considerable damage to a Beastman. ;) I'm itching to get into a fight. :P

Is the RPG continuing this week? For I will most likely not be able to post is that's the case. I have French house guests, and I'm busy with keeping them alive. ;)

IC: Ar'khale, good idea. Those traps should give the sneaking Chaos scum something to think about, and I for one don't want to be murdered in my sleep!

OOC: Yeah, sure since Darmort hasn't posted anything, I'm guessing not. BTW, great roleplaying so far!

As far as we know Darmorts computer is working again, but he has made no sign of his return.
We have lost confidence in Darmort as a mod and there for have decided to take him out the mod team. Since there are no replacements, we have decided to lock this group as a result of his absence.
I will see what I can do for you characters this week. Most likely they will be set back in the creation pool.
The only good news that I can bring is that we are working on a new mod team. When the new team starts several groups will open all at the same time, so plenty of chance to get your character in a group again.

If you have questions, feel free to pm me.
