"Hmpf. I too will not stay my hand faced with such suspicous behaviour... We may always settle our score later, Lord Doomsong", Belial said, with a slightly malicious smile. Clearly, the young general was not a person inclined towards forgiveness.

"Thiriel, you have been the one providing us with the most obvious suspect so far, and that it is yourself does not make it less likely. You too, shall have my vote."

Teirathon watched them bicker, nodding here and there. Grunting his approval at some, frowning at others until lord Thiriel spoke.

"What are you saying? Speak clearly or hold your tongue, we do not need the nonsense clues and explanations you have come forth with. I agree with the others. You seem a likely suspect."

Teirathon nodded to himself.

"Ah, ah. This is... an uncomfortable situation, to say the least. I do not think Thiriel is guilty, merely clumsy and mayhaps a little foolish; he is young and inexperienced in these matters. Perhaps we should show a measure of lenience? Perhaps not, though. I will bow to whatever the council demands.

Oh, and Lord Belial, it was nothing personal; mixing personal issues and political ones is not the way to go, believe you me. Indeed, now my vote is no longer necessary, I might as well Unvote: Belial and see if Thiriel is guilty. I will, for the present, stay my vote.

"Whilst i agree that Lord Thiriel is a likely suspect, there is something that we should take into account. The entire council is not here. One more vote will have him interrogated, but we still have not heard from them. Soon they will have to speak or will face interrogations of their own. I do not plea for his innocence, but i council patience. Let those who have not deigned to grace us with their presence have one more chance to arrive."

"I agree that we should stay our hand, 'till the last show up. However, I will not take my vote back. It will be for those who have not voted yet to decide, whether they will condemn Lord Thiriel before the last arrive. But if the day passes, we must send someone off, full numbers or not."

First however their is one matter of business, he signalled his phoenix guard, Aenarin and Katash, silence in this court is no vertue therefore you shall be taken to the questioning chambers until we determine your guilt. OOC: No offense meant or anything Demendred, but would you mind putting a bit more detail into your posts...You don't have too, though It would be appreciated.

IC: Standing up, Aethis walked for the door only briefly turning at the door.

"I must say that I a shocked from todays events. Though Lord Thiriel was innocent, He did show the most signs of the guiltiest amongst that day."

"Good Night, lades and Gentlemen." finished Aethis walking away from the wide eyed group.

Lord demendred sat at his desk, slowly tapping a dagger against the wood. He watched, thinking silently as the sun came up over the horizen. A guard walked into the room, "Sir, the others are ready." Demendred slowly nodded his head. He sat thinking for another minute before rising and heading out the door.

When he entred the council chambers he noticed one thing immediatly. They were not all there. He snarled at the others. "Where is Belial?" The others looked at each other as though just noticing he was missing. Demendred pointed at the guard at the entrance. "Gather some men and search lord Belials rooms." The guard rushed out shouting.

The gaurd came in ten minutes later gagging. He answered in gasps and his eyes had a crazy look, "My lord, as orded I asembled some men and searched Lord belials room. We discourvred him skinned alive hanging from the roof. My lord he was still alive." My men only managed to get one sentance out of him before he died. It was 'death has come here' then he just died. Two of my men jumped out of the window than live on with what they had seen." The guard then fainted on the spot.

Lord demendred frowned as he walked back to the council, noted all of their shocked expressions after hearing the news. "this incodent only proves that the assasins remianed instead of fleeing after the incedent with the king. You must get to the bottomof this."

Falvonir frowned as he sat down. This was extremely troubling.

"My fellow councillors, we must get to the bottom of this. We have three innocent councillors dead to one Assassin discovered. Our problems: poorly phrased statements made lord Thiriel look guilty. We therefore acted as one will towards the guilty man. We voted. However, we are left with little having been said that was not friendly banter or accusations. We cannot take accusations as evidence as the assassins will have almost certainly taken what was said into account, and targeted someone with no obvious connection to them."

Falvonir leant back and began to shuffle through his notes on the previous day.

"I'm going to keep looking, but finding something useful to do today might be difficult."

"How simply gastly," Lor'eal Brycleem sniffed as he heard about Belial's death. "I do hope his Cathayn Mung Vase wasn't damaged in the attack. That gift cost me more than a fine suit of ithilmar." He sighed again, and shook himself.

"Could he have been to throw suspicion on someone? Or because he was right? I do hope we can see his death avenged, before anyone else is taken from us."

Aradin stood up, caring none of his leg injury, as he heard the new of Belial dead.

"May Asuryan shield us, we cannot just let the foul Druchii to slip through our fingers. What happened to Belial up there, we need to find the people who did this.

Death is indeed upon us, but I hope that Belial would have shared more valuable information upon his own death. He must have seen his attackers, or they were masked again.

Dammit, I want to see the Druchii skinned alive and hanging from the roof!"

Aradin paused for a while, and fell back to his chair as his leg began to hurt again.

"Sorry my cruelty, but it's eye for an eye for the Druchii, they deserve no better."

Silas stood up and looked at the counsel.
"last night we lost one of are own let up try to avoid that happening again we need to stop the enemy before they can kill those true elves who are here there are two maybe three enemy’s left to find and little to go on dose this mean we should give up and not talk”
“NO”
We should discus the few pieces of evidence we have we should discus every little possibility in hopes the Druchii will slip up".
Silas sat down and said to Aradin.
"True they deserve worse”.

Ahnet had turned a pale shade of green, he was not used to such cruel brutality.
"Well," he final said "I suspected that this might hapen but still, he paused whilst he wretched, thanking Asuryan that he had not yet eaten.
"I supose that we should make the most of this new information. Now who was it that had most to gain from the death of the noble lost Beliel, Lord Doomsong I belive. It is indeed possible that the assasins choose to kill some one with no connection to them, yet if that were the case would it not be better to choose on amoungst us who has spoken little. Belial did not fit that description. There fore I cano't help but suspect Lord Doomsong."

Whoever did this knew must have known one thing: Lord Doomsong would be a very obvious suspect if Belial was killed.
Therefore it might seem logical to clear Lord Doomsong of all suspicion, since his involvement seems so obvious that he can't be involved. If you understand what I mean?

I admit to having the same stance on Lord Doomsong as the deceased Lord Belial, yet I did not feel sure enough to place a vote on him.
Now I have come to believe that assasinating Lord Belial is a clever gamble to make us think that Lord Doomsong is innocent.

"Soupman, you bring us a good point. Killing Belial will make lord Doomsong very likely suspect, but if he is an infiltrator, he will count on us thinking he got framed.

This is a very fledgling theory, and I'll rather wait what lord Doomsong himself has to say. I'll decide then."

"Yes, obviously. I will count on you thinking I got framed, knowing you all to be stupid bloody nods. I would like to remind you, gentlemen, that it was not I who voted an innocent to death for silly mistakes yesterday. No, the guilty is not I, but another. Another who has, you might notice, been failing to take a clear point throughout this whole affair, coming only out to snipe at me. This one, gentleelves, is a cunning infiltrator, a druchii of utmost vileness. I am referring, as you might think, to Ahnet. Lord Ahnet has come now, out in arms against me as no-one should, acting strangely insistent now that he knows I am vulnerable.

"Whoever killed Belial will not have counted on you to be silly enough to saint me because the one who attacked me was guilty. They will have foreseen something like this - you insult my cunning if you think that such a simple ploy as this is the best I can do. Now, know that I voted randomly yesterday. I still do not know who is innocent, but I can start with a couple of probablys:
I do not think Aradin to be guilty. He has a remarkably consistent way of acting, and his words are not tinted with deception. Neither is Silas, whose naïvetee is a dead giveaway. The same was true for the one your foolishness already slew, lord Thiriel.

"Indeed, my lords! Verily, the guilty one stands before you, attacking me with all the venom he can muster. I must now vote: Drainal for my good conscience and feeling of self-preservation. He has lead this attack, and it is clear to me that he knows I am innocent."

Falvonir raised an eyebrow. Drainial had misinterpreted his words, purposefully or not.

"I do not see how it would be best to vote a silent party. Not when you could make an active member of the council look guilty anyway. Frankly it would make far more sense. Kill someone who was trying to get things organised aginst you and make another such look suspicious, or to kill someone quiet, unthreatening, and let the others continue there work? It is not a hard question to my mind. You, Drainal, have attempted to twist my logic in order bring down Doomsong. I believe that suspicious and so will vote for you."

"I am perfectly capable of coming to a conclusion myslef Falvonir, I have no need to use yours, it may be best for the assasins to bring down a silent party because it would give the council no clues, therefore there must be some reasoning behind it. True enough it could be a ruse by the assasins to frame an inocent we will not get anywhere with our hands clean of blood, sad though it may make us all,"

Hilan Starseeker smiled to himself, cleared his throat and spoke.

"Lord Doomsong I admit, you are well spoken, but that does not prove that you are not just a well spoken infiltrator.

You say that we would be stupid and silly to believe that you got framed and "saint" you, but you fail to present a convincing alternative or a reason to why Lord Ahnet is guilty. All I hear is that you say he failed to take a point and that he attacks you, I am voting for you too, I fail to see why Lord Ahnet is more suspicious than myself."
