TAU IV closed Sign up and OOC thread

Post by Drainial »

Hello minions of darkness, as you have no doubt noticed from the title this is the sign up thread for TAU IV. As most if not all of you will know TAU stands for Tzeentchens amongst us and they are a shameless rip off of SAUs (which are in turn stealing their ideas from other people so swings and roundabouts really). Although I am sure most people know the rules by now it is traditional to post the basic rules here for easy reference and for any and all new comers.

For the new players, here are basic rules:

Phases :

There are two phases in a game: Day and Night . At Day, the council convenes and deliberates on what to do, and possibly who to vote off to execution/incarceration. At Night, the “bad guys” use their abilities to the detriment of the council (usually killing someone).

When the Day ends, Night falls, and when the Night ends, Day clears again. Typically, such a phase is between 48 and 96 hours. Deadlines are typically set at the start of a phase.

Voting :

During the Day, everyone can vote for whomever they want (although only one at the same time). If you change your mind and vote someone else, you don't need to unvote; an implicit retraction is understood.

When anyone reaches a majority (50% + 1) of votes against him or her, that person is removed from the game, and the identity revealed. If an overall majority is reached (so that over 50% of the players have voted for one individual) then the day ends immediatly. If no overall majority is reached the day will continue until the deadline for night to fall at which point the player (if any) with the most votes against them regardless of an overall majority will be removed from the game.

Votes are put in boldcase letters. If you want to vote for Drainial, you write Vote: Drainial . The boldcase and format are for me to count votes easily.

If you really, really want to make me happy, put or repeat your vote at the end of your post, on a new line.

Win conditions :

The Council wins when all of the Tzeentchens are defeated.

The Tzeentchens win when they gain a 50% foothold in the Council.

Other rules :

You may not :

Remain silent during the Day.

Contact other players except where explicitly noted.

Reveal OOC / meta-information.

Post more than once at Night.

Edit your posts. Never.

You should always :

Post at least once during the Day. Preferably more, 1 is the absolute minimum.

We will need a minimum of 10-12 people though more would be better so sign up one and all for the oddest -AU game yet (and if you have read some of the past ones, or played in them you know that that is a claim that will be tricky to live up to).

Moding a group of Druchii.net players is much like directing the musical 'Cats' using actual cats. Frustrating, difficult, chaotic but ultimatley satisfying and a great deal of fun.

Yes basically; there are plenty of others including the one that just finished which you might want to read to get the flavour.

You can access the italics, bold and underline by pressing postreply rather than the quick reply, they are in the bar at the top.

Ok so so far we have:

1)Noble Korhedron
2)Belial
3)Lord Damian Valar
4)Dragonsbreath
5)Darkdoom
6)Raneth
7)Deroth
8)Smiler666
9)Draknir
10)Dresden
11)Meteor

So we have enough for a game, a few more people would be better however so the sign up will remain open while I write up the opening and sort out everyone's roles.

EDIT: The game thread is now up so the sign up is closed and instead becomes of OOC thread.

Well centuries of near constant bloodshed will tend to strain the bonds of brotherhood between nations (and species) a fair bit. But by coming together and learning of each other’s ways, while hunting out killers amongst their ranks in a daemon dimension of dreams and madness is just my way of trying to bring these crazy kids together :D .

On a more practical note I thought it would be a good idea to have a list of the personas that various people have taken for easy reference, I know how easy it can be to forget who each player is in relation to their character.

Noble Korhedron- Not yet posted
Belial- Yana the Halfling girl
Lord Damian Valar- Vaelen, Caledorian guardsman
Dragonsbreath- Skabslik the grey seer
Darkdoom- Crank the goblin shaman
Raneth- Rutger Von Mazzeltov the jester
Deroth- Herod, imperial light wizard
Smiler666- Glorin the dwarven trade lord
Draknir- Hugo the imperial engineer
Dresden- Skwee the warlock engineer
Meteor- Morr the short stocky human, possibly batty
