OOC: So we have all the scalps now right?

IC: Marcelus marched out of the cave the strange sounds everything was making was beginning to fray his nerves, though something appeared to be getting the sorceress even more angry and she was taking it out on the harplings. Ignoring the agitated birdsong that kept squealing from her mouth held out his hand and tried to say "Please stop beating the really quite important little critters before he have none left, and if you can't then give them to me so you don't break any more of them," though he wasn't at all surprised to hear a hiss come out of his mouth instead, he hoped it was just his hearing.

The sky started to become annoyingly cloudy.

<OOC:
The party had recovered 6 scalps, one more scalp was waiting upcliff, 3 eggs and 5 harplings were captured in the nest. One of the harplings no longer moved.
+ One last scalp was to be recovered at 10 min walk upcliff (on a roasted harpy hotdog).

Marcelus Lycanius and Metarchis Avax suffer from light wounds.

The day would last no more than 15 hours.
1/2 hour to cross the plain and reach the mountain.
Three hours in the valley.
Climbing the peak had taken them a full hour.
Crossing the plateau had taken them three hours.
Combat on the cliff: let's make it 15 min, plus 10 min scalping.
Cave: let's make it 30 min, including scalping.
That's 8 hours 25 min elapsed.
You did not do yet the 10 min walk to Lycanius Fried Chicken.

Next comes STEP 5: Crossing the mountain.
I let you RP the lift up, getting the last scalp, and the trip back to the village.
Hopefully before the night comes.

Carry on!

Ooc: Erm, bossman? I'd beg to differ on that unscalped harpy:

Carried by the beast of shadows, the trio of mages flew back up on top of the cliff. Vaelreth directed the summoned creature to land closer to the last harpy they haven't scalped yet.

As the shadow monster landed, the sorceress scooped up the three eggs in her arms and let the other two mages to carry the harpling filled net between them. All she wanted was to be as far away as she could from the little screeching monsters.

Without waiting much for the other two mages she started back in the direction of the village. The sun was setting and they were racing against time, at the same time, sustaining her spell for that long would likely end in a disaster. She already cast enough spells this day and didn't feel like tempting fate any more.

Before you could do that, there was a small little problem to be solved:
out of the cave, you find yourself on the platform, not on top of the cliff where the roasted harpy is.
Calisson wrote:Right below the yellowish rock is a narrow platform, at mid height, i.e. at 10 m above the sea and at 10 m below the cliff edge.
The group of harpies which attacked you came from that platform. You understand that the platform leads to a cave inside the cliff.

This is how I inderstood your trip from the cave to the roasted harpy:

Is Red... doing anything?
Are the three of you just walking back towards the village on the same path, despite the threatening clouds?

<OOC: Sorry, short post today, not got much time...>

Seeing the hydra and the dragon setting the pace ahead of him, Metarchis scurried after them. He looked down with suprise at the tiny leprechauns who were jumping up and down on the trampoline that had been handed to him to carry in tandem with the hydra. They kept giggling to themselves and throwing bits of chewed up grass ballsa in his direction, bouncing off of his head and torso. He grimaced.

This isn't real, it isn't real, it isn't real

He knew inside himself that this was true, but khaine dang it, it would be nice if the grass balls knew it!

Metarchis continued on the path northwards, despite the clouds. The sooner they got back to the village, the sooner he could have a nap and get rid of these darn hallucinations!

STEP 5: Returning to the village.

Once on top of the cliff, the return trip was easy and boring.
They headed south, looking for the characteristic peak with its donkey head top.
After three hours walk on the plateau, the sky had become dark and threatening. They accelerated the pace as they could. They could feel the first drops of a cold rain.
Finally, they arrived at the cascade before the blizzard started really to blow.
In the valley, they were sheltered from the wind. The path to the valley was no easier downwards than when they climbed it up.
Once they were out of the valley, the plain was rather quick to cross.

The challenge was to arrive before night with as many scalps/eggs/chicks as possible.
They made it! They arrived at the village before sunset, just in time!

But which team would have been the most successful?
This will be seen in The Magic Reality Show (TMRS) – Now playing
