Slavers :
Dark ELves are notorious slavers, known all over the world as taking anyone alive, be they old or young. All can serve as a sacrifice on the alter of Khaine.
When the Dark Elf warband captures an enemy (be it from a Slave Driver's special rule or as a result of 'Captured' on the Injuries chart) they gain +1D6 GC to the total.

Will have to clarify the end bit a bit.
"An extra 1D6 gold to the total if the slave is sold".

Is this after or before the result is timesed by 5?

I can't see it complicating things if we add a small rule for the Temple Adpt character
Dark Ritual: You may choose to sacrifise any captives and get +1xp for the Temple adept OR Noble in much the same way as possesed. Note this will kill the captive."

Total would suggest after it has been multiplied.

Would total not be the right thing to use then? I figured an extra 1D6 gold for a slave was decent, but maybe 1D6 to the total number of dice rolled?

Okay two things. I am new to Mordheim in fact I will be playing my first game ever in a few weeks but I do wish to help here as much as possible, If I have the time I will read through everything here to catch up but if anyone could send me a brief sumnmary of what we're up to would be helpful and on that note is there anything I can do in the meantime (note I am downloading the rules as I write this)

My impression is, that our target is to rework DE warband from Lustria rules (can be downloaded from Specialist Games website)..

is there anything I can do in the meantime (note I am downloading the rules as I write this)

Well, read the rules? ;-) And maybe scan the relevant threads here for ideas and reasons, why they were refused or forgotten... Don't know, really.

Awesome! This is so cool, I just found the Mordheim thing and i've played quite a few times, I own a Witch Hunter Warband. Im reading through all the things you've discussed so far but definately count me in. I play almost every day at my local gaming store, and I prefer to write. So either Play Testing or Fluff could work for me.

Well, the list is pretty much done right now. We just need lots, and lots, and lots of playtesting.

Head over to the Alpha 4 thread, print that list out and start playing and reporting. :)

Howdy! While I'm relatively new to Mordheim, many people know me... or better yet, they know of my fan-based website; The Mordheimer's Information Centre

As many of you know, some of my PERSONAL goals of the site are to preserve much of the Mordheim related material that is beign lost (mainly due lack of maintenance from the original authors), re-establish a one-site for all Mordheim material (organized in a newbie-friendly fashion) and to create new material for Mordheim.

On the ladder is that I wish to approach you. While I must confess I'm not an elf lover  , I do understand why so many players like them. While their vastly rich background and history has be detailed on Warhammer, I do (humbly) beleive that the "official" efforts towards the inclusion of elves are short of nothing. What is on the available "unoficial" resources (IMHO) are unablanced attempts to power up a warband. All Mordheim Elves are in dired need of a re-design.

On the SG forums I have been an avid poster, and I would love to assist people re-designing and publishing their elven versions. Hopefully unifying all "experts" into agreeing into unified versions of Wood, Shadow, High and Dark Elves so they can be submited to SG for publication on SG Online, and thus granting then "Unofficial" status. Furthermore, I would very much like their inclusion on the next rules revision so these warbands could gain "Official" status. :D

Right now I'm working hand in hand with 2 fans who are designing a nicely balanced Wood Elves warband. Their version 1.80 is published on the website, but on close doors they are in v2.233.

Our philosophy on the re-design as been one of differences by skills, not by pure super stats and high costs. The way that the current SE, DE and HE are design, they should rule the world... designers lost track (IMHO) that Mordheim is based on a D6, while WHFB is based on a D10 stat... in Mordheim a stat 5 rules; while in WHFB a stat 9 is king and a 5 is almost plain vanilla. The current elf design does NOT makes differences among elves... they assume all elves are faster than humans (based on fluff), but some elves should be faster/stronger/dexetrous than others. Your use of "alternate" sources of power (i.e. slaves, items, SKILLS, etc) due account for racial differencies.

I know that the Dark Elves warband revision has been your project for 2 years now. My intention is NOT to "steal" you ideas, but to offer my site to promote YOUR work. I beleive that there could be no better embasadors for the proper revision and re-design of the elven warband than Druchii.net. If you would allow me to re-publish your work under YOUR credits, please send me an email with the most current version. DO NOT WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT FORMAT... but a brief history (and links here) would help spread the word of the Druchii community here established.

I'm looking forward to you accepting my plea to help. My site is at your disposal. :D

Thanks for the offer Mr. Mordheimer. Just a few comments.

The aim of this revision is not to produce an unofficial SG magazine revision, but a 100% official Druchii warband. As it is, the warband is in its first Beta version, and is only in need of very, very researched playtesting in order to make sure that it doesn't end up like the unofficial Lustria warband (which was "unofficialised" because it ended up too powerful).

As it is, I can turn the current warband roster into a .pdf as soon as I get home and get Internet access (by next week). PM me or mail me by then (or I'll mail you once I have Internet again at home), and I'm sure we can arrange something. :)

The Druchii warband revision manager,
- A.

Yes... my mission (which mimics yours) is to "push" ONE candidate of each elven warband to SG, so they get off their behinds and include the work on the next rule revision, and make them an OFFICIAL warband.

I beleive that to achieve this goal, someone should take the initiative and create a FAIR warband. The Druchii.net community is doing a super job of that. Then, this EXPERIMENTAL warband must be located in a public website and advertised. Players around the world should playtest it and send their comments to the authors and revisions made. Once the warband is completely balanced, then it should be presented to SG for publication on their site. SG will "look" at the warband, and if it seems fair (probably it will since it has been playtested and revised many times) it will get published. This will grant the warband UNOFFICIAL status. The last step is to promote and lobby for the warband to be included in the rule revision, so it can be granted OFFICIAL publication (in the next Annual) and status.

Like you, I beleive that the current DE warband is not fair. It may work perfectly in the Lustria setting, but it is not "universal" and does NOT translate well to other Mordheim Settings.

I do NOT want to join the Druichii.net designer team to dictate/push my views in design. Far the contrary... I want to be a tool of disemination of YOUR work. Of course, when I playtest the warband I would gladly give my $0.02, but my opinion will be as valuable as any other playtester.

Not to try to elevate myself or anything, but my site has had over 4,000 unique visitors in 8 months and pound by pound... the site is better than SGs. Joining forces promoting the inclusion of your DE warband on the rules revision will send SG a clear message: we want elves on Mordheim!

What do I get out of this? Simple... having the support of Druchii.net for the inclusion of OTHER elven warbands that have gone though a similar process. I feel that my conversations with SG have hit a brick wall, and the bigger support I get for the site the better they will understand that my goal is to freely support Mordheim and since I desire not to make profit from ANY of this I should be not only allowed, but encourage. After all, we are doing their job!

Send me whatever you want published (in PDF or Text... I will extract the document and create an HTML for the site AND publish your PDF too.) Include a background of the process... this is not a whim, but a serious 2 year process. My site is 100% at your disposal. Also, not to be pushy or anything... but I noticed tha GW does NOT have a formal format for warbands (they all have the same things, but are in different orders), so I took the most common layout to make my site. They ALL follow the same template. If it is not too much trouble... could you follow the same layout for consistency sakes? Thanks!

PS My signature is not messed up... its your imagination!
