do i have to pay or is there a 'free trial' just to get a feel of the game?

im not sure i want it yet, so i would like to try it and see

I'm not sure if there is a free trial, I doubt it however.

It's $15 Australian, not sure on the other currencies however.

There will be a free trial.... after a year or so. New games use their hype to sell copies, they gotta pay for their development costs.

can preorder for 5 bucks or so and get in the early access then cancel preorder if you dont like i suppose

New games never have free trials.
It's a combination of:
hype to sell more copies
server overload.
Imagine about million (I think it's a good estimate for WAR) players *and* twice that trial players suddenly starting the game. The servers would burn
