Warhammer Online - new DESIGN fo th Black Arc of Naggaroth??

Post by Dicnar »

Does anyone have pics of the Black Arcs that are roaming the seas online? Becouse i'm really exited about their new look. On the WO page i found only few pics that show pieces of Black arc in the background but no concept art or anything like that. Does anybody have a decent pic of their ovveral look??

Can't get a full look :P
To see detail you need to be close to it... which means it will take your screen a couple times over.

To see it as a whole you have to move far enough so you only see the outline.

They are just what they are supposed to be. HUGE fortresses sitting on floating rocks. And they look awesome!

so in the end, no, there's no new look.

Unfortunatly I don't play WAR...yet. So if you somehow menage to do some screens i'll be gratefull :P
But i owned once a Mano'War Arc and belive me - they gotta have a new look because the previous one would be just silly nowdays.

that's Man-o-war ark...
call it proto-ark or something.
It was one and only model that... <drumroll> didn't even fit the ever-present description of what an ark is.

Seriously, whoever made that model has never read anything about black arks... someone told him "big fortress-like ship" and there we have it.

I'm not sure if there was any artwork before 6th ed. but 6th ed DE army book has a drawing of a black ark on the front cover (yeah, that fortress in the back *is* an ark) and on page 57.

Ok, I get the idea :) Well all the ships in mano war were kinda goofy, that's a very old game, but nevertheless that was the official miniature so i always imagined it something like that. Dammit now that you pointed me to those ilustrations i wanna see the in game one even more:P I just love the design in WAR, all those concepts are mindblowing - chaos cities, emperors palace, ships, houses...etc.

Just enough to say that when you start as a dark elf, the black ark is first thing you see... and you don't even see a little fraction of it because it's IMMENSE :D
