Hi, thinking of starting Dark Elves instead of my current green skins.

What's a good place to start? I wanted to go for something that is less random wishes and hopes..

Heya! Welcome to the site. The DE's provide you with a couple different army load outs. You can go all cav, you can go foot slogger or you can go mixed arms all of which have strengths & weaknesses but most importantly, you can find success within all three. The O&G army is (was, I played them in 6) pretty slogging so maybe a quicker pace may be a change you'd be into.

I would suggest reading through the army lists, battle reports in the forums here and check out a few battle reports on youtube to get an overall sense of how the army plays. Keep in mind the rumours that we have a new book on the horizon and everything will change to a point.

As a Druchii addict (some would say whore...) I can honestly say you should have a more reliable army compared to the Greenskins. Sexier too.
