Silcratho Wileblade, Scourge of Caledor

Post by Silcratho wileblade »

For thousands of years Silcratho Wileblade has tamed the fiercest beasts the world could produce and has turned their vile powers in the use of the Druchii. He is the Lord of Khaine's Spite, a black ark based in Karond Kar. Amongst the aspiring beastmasters of the youth of Naggaroth, stories are told of his exploits and sheer evil. None, however, are more loved than his great Jest to Caledor.
In the days of the Phoenix King Bel-Shannar Gilian Taelmaran of Caledor was fighting in the blighted Isle against the hated Dark Elven host. His dragon was mighty and loyal to Ulthuan but when he crossed paths with Silcratho upon his manticore Khaela Furen the dragon would not attack. Silcratho's gaze met that of the dragon and it cowered in fear for it had never seen such evil and malice nor dominace in the eyes of an elf. Gilian helplessly tried to spur his dragon to attack but it wouldn't. With a fell sweep of his lance, the Caledorian was slain. The entire elven army was routed and destroyed and once again, the Altar of Khaine was in the hands of the Druchii, the true elves.
As his harpies set upon the corpses of the fallen and wounded Silcratho contemplated his options. Here he had a dragon who cowered before him. He sent his Falcon Messenger Familiar back to Naggarond with his plans laid out.
Blessed by the Witch King, Silcratho took up the armor of the fallen Prince and took his name. Like the prince he had blue eyes and jet black hair. While the prince was still young Silcratho was old and maintained his youth by consuming troll blood...which also granted him many regenerative powers.
In the Guise of Gilian, Silcratho flew back to his estate in Caledor and told the terrible news to the Phoenix King. Immediately the forces of Cothique and Yvresse were mustered to march to Nagarethe to take back the altar. When they arrived none were present. The Dark Elves had left.
For years Silcratho was a prominent and outspoken figure in the court of Bel Shannar. He won many supporters amongst the Avelornians and Caledorians for his open distate of Nagarethe. He denounced the land a treacherous land filled with brigands who worshipped khaine as much as the dark elves. Many agreed with his accusations and thus the court was divided.
It has been noted in the Chronicles of Caledor that Silcratho was reclusive when not in court and kept to himself. He confided and conversed with the dragons who slept and many began to wonder what was bothering him. With soothing words with diabolic meaning he put the dragons into an enchanted sleep that they could not wake from. Several he had even gone as far as to carve their hearts out and feed them to his own dragon who, despite his disgrace at having to do so, gorged on the food nonetheless. The power of Caledor fell during the time Silcratho was present. His accusations soon turned against himself and thus Caledor attained its reputation for beign aloof to even the phoenix king.
It was not until the days of Finubar that Silcratho's secret was revealed. He had turned many against Tyrion whom he was suspicious of. But Alarielle saw through his guise and in secret told the King and Tyrion that Prince Gilian, Silcratho, was a dark elf agent.
Silcratho was forced to flee to his estate and as the other princes attempted to defeat him, he was born aloft by his loyal hapries where he was taken to the Chracian mountains to reunite with his Manticore. The Princes tried in vain to rouse the dragons as Malekith once again invaded Ulthuan. Eventually Silcratho was forced to retreat to his Black Ark and head back to Naggaroth to heal. For the next two hundred years he trained many new bests and travelled the world for more slaves. But again, the Witch King calls his troops to rally to his banner and Silcratho's Ark plies the waves once again.
