RPG-The Grip of chaos

This is the next stage of the dark elf raid RPG. all former characters are most espiacally welcome. But we are always looking for new blood!
So far Vorcais the one eyed assain and the noble malius are now under armed guard from imperial reinforcements led by the knight Icabod. Thelis the scout is now a guest of the knight and will soon debrief. The Waywatcher lord antonius is trailing the humans because he knows the druchii will escape and the humans will need help.

So the convoy continues towards altdorf and judgement for the dark ones.

In particular we are looking for a dwarf and possibly a dark elf rescue fore (with Witch elves?/Malius’s consort?) if anyone wants more info/queries/questions about characters etc etc just pm me

ic: thelis sat in the lush command tent of the knight icabod.
reflecting on recent events. following the destruction of the greater demon they had bound and gagged the two dark elves upon which Icabods personal army had arrived following a messanger bird from their lord.

It had taken thelis hours to calm down after the beserk rage had seized him, letting him tackle a greater demon and helping to destroy it. He had always been a troubled soul and now he doubted the demons touch would ever truly fade . he feared what it might have awoken in him.

he now awaited the knight to ask him permission to visit the dark elf Malius the commander of the slaving force. he wanted to because he bore such a striking resembelance to him that thelis wandered if by some twist of fate their bloodlines were related

Appereance: Average elven hight, Tanned complexion that is returning to the normal pale wood elven complexion. Calm and almost distant brown eyes that none the less have an almost horrible concentration to them. Sun bleached blonde hair (hes been out killing tomb kings recently)

Equipment: 4 steel throwing knives, 1 long hunting dagger, pack of herbs, Way watchers longbow (its a longbow that fires like a crossbow...perfect for a sniper

...hence why in most of my posts he usualy only shots once), Way watchers cloak (think elven cloaks in lord of the rings...less powerful in that it only blends in with background but can be used on the move)

IC:

Antonious finished the mourning ritual with his eight other way watchers. Revrently he placed a cool hand on both Senlui and Orion and muttered a few words. Slwoly a light emitted from them and spread out a few meters before being soaked into the undergrowth and wildlife. He faced his way watchers

"I would not usual interfier in nature, but there are all sorts of evils in this place that would defile their bodies. I cannot bear for that to happen"

"Don't worry Antonious we understand why you did it"

A female voice broke through smiling slightly as she looked at him. Antonious nodded gratefully to Morlain

"Right now we must move. Lets go"

Their was a rustling of movement...a few desturbed birds chirped....and then nothing but complete silence. The way watchers moving through the forest like ghosts through the night. No more than the faint desturbance of wind could be heard and the ocasional owl hoot as the comunicated with each other. Soon they have they came on the knights camp and surounded it in a semi circle leaving the frontal track to it alone as it was the most heavily gaurded. The way watchers sat hidden in the trees so well they almost seemed like the trees. Their way watcher bow's at hand. Ready and waiting

Voracis awoke again. He was bound. He lcould only see out of one eye now and it seemed like his other eye was never coming back. Voracis cursed Icabod's name. He tried to see what kind of bounds he had so he could losen them.

Do they really suspect that these bounds can hold me?

Appearance: tall well buit (for an elf) with long white hair. Pale complexion, but with a purple tint to it

Equipment: Battered heavy armour, tattered cloak, two knives the assassin gave him (one is enchanted) and the enchanted driach the female elf dropped. (this driach may of become infused with the power of the greater demon. unsure yet)

IC: Malius woke up. or so he thought. he wasnt sure. it was still dark. he realised he had been blindfolded. the material was rough and stank of human sweat. he had troubled dreams, all of which related back to the raid of the village. and all through his dreams he could hear Belorias' voice, whispering in his ear. he cant quite remeber what was said, but it was important...

IC: Malius called out. a muffled reply told him the assassin near. Malius struggled a bit and he manged to hook the gag off of the assassin with a foot

Maya already could see the shores of the so called 'Empire'. It would take another 3 hours before they would reach them. She turned around and looked at the crew of the ship. She hoped some of them would help her get her master free.

background- after destroying the greater Daemon at Achuncultz, Icabod called in imperial reinforcements, Voracis and Malius have been captured and Icabod is preparing to escort them to Altdorf where they will face Imperial justice.

Ic- The past few days seemed a blur to Icabod. What had started as a simple desire for a tankard of ale had somehow become a battle involving elves and daemons. Icabod wondered once again how he had ever managed to survive.
He strode out of the armourer's tent and was pleased at the way his newly polished armour shone brightly in the morning sun. Around him the Imperial camp bustled with activity. Now that Achuncultz had been purged by flame the small army Icabod commanded was preparing to leave the area. Icabod glanced over at the tent where he knew the two elven prisoners were being kept. It was surrounded by a guard of eight halberdiers. Soon those evil pirates would be on their way to Altdorf where they would no doubt hang for their crimes. As Icabod stomped through the camp soldiers shouted out words of greeting, Icabod answered them with waves of his hand or curt nods. Icabod had become something of a celebrity among the men as they had all heard rumours about what had happened at the village. Icabod's grand comand tent rose up in the centre of the camp. He ducked slightly to pass through its opening. Inside a familiar figure waited. It was Thelis, one of the elves who had aided in the destruction of the Daemonic infestation.

Icabod grinned as he adressed the elf "well master Thelis, what brings you to my humble abode?"

ooc- thelis feel free to have complete control over the convo between Icabod and Thelis in your next post. yes you are allowed to visit the prisoners.

Malius' head pounded. the assassin was still struggling with his bonds so Malius was left to think about what happened. the last thing he could remeber was beheading that monstrosity of a greater deamon. and Belorias. Malius couldnt get Belorias out of his head, it seemed that whatever he thougtt about, it would turn into thinking of the demon possed Thull that called himself Belorias. and this image seemed to whisper to him, quite what Malius could not say, but it irked him all the same. Belorias was taunting him. or so Malius thought.

Focusing on the surroundings, he heard the breathing of at least 8 humans. by the rancid smell, they had been standing in full armour in the sun for too long. A thought suddenly struck Malius- he was a magic user, why not use magic to escape. focusing his energies Malius attempted to unleash a spell to break the bond. Pain wracked his body as the spell backfired. it had managed to get the blindfold off however. looking down at his body, Malius saw why his spell had backfired. asides from being in armour still (which doesn help) the humans had attacted several scrolls to his bodies. it looked like they were scrolls of dispellment. Malius moaned in pain and pleasure at the pain of the spell effects...

I'll tell you whats what instead.

In the previous rpg Malius led a raid on the village of Achuncultz. Unkown to him the village was infested by Slaanesh. Thelis and Antonious (the wood elves) were guarding the village to prevent the taint from spreading. Then Icabod the knight (my character) showed up and thinking it was his duty to protect the village(not knowing it was slaaneshi) rallied the town militia against the Dark elves. One night while Icabod was sleeping the assassin voracis (valtor heir of malekith) crept in and poisoned him. Meanwhile Malius was leading his raiders through the forest and being attacked by the wood elves. during these fights thull, an ancient DE veteran (Damorts old character) was killed. It was revealed that Malius was a wizard and he tried to resurect Thull. however thulls body mysteriously disapeared during the night. At this point BM john came into the story as a slaaneshi shade. He went around injecting dead druchi and humans with something that made them come alive again after death. Malius continued his attack on the village which led to more wood elf ambushes. Finally he attacked the village itself. during the battle Malius and Icabod fought and Icabod defeated Malius by kicking him in the groin. Icabod searched Malius for an antidote to the poison and ran into the forest to consume the items he found. Thelis came to Icabod's rescue, gave him a proper antidote and took him to the wood elf camp. At the same time Voracis and the other woodelf Antonious(Thanan) were stalking eachother through the surrounding forest. The dark elves overran the village but then they themselves were killed by BM john's ressurected cultists. BM john cartured Malius and took him to the villages church which had become a shrine to slaanesh, where he was tortured and learned that thulls body had been possessed by the daemon Belorias the Embraced. Malius managed to escape but then he had to face a spawn of chaos.
The duel between Antonious and Voracis ended with a stalemate and the assassin went back to the village to save Malius by killing the spawn. Then Vengeanceseeker entered the rpg as an exiled female DE shade and met up with voracis and Malius. Meanwhile Thelis and Icabod were talking at the wood elf camp. Then the village church exploded and a keeper of secrets began to emerge from the earth. everyone rushed into the village there was a big battle against the cultists. During the fighting Icabod was knocked down by the KoS and Voracis tried to poison him again. Icabod spat the poison into voracis' face , blinding him in one eye,and beat the living daylights out of him. Voracis stabbed Icabod in the knee and crawled off to recover somewhere. Malius and Antinous faced off against Belorias and they killed him(or did they). Vengeancseeker killed a daemonette and then decided the rpg was too confusing and left, during the fight his character dropped her draich and Malius picked it up. Thelis went beserk for some reason and attacked the greater daemon along with Malius and Icabod and it was banished. yay

phew.. confusing isn't it

This rpg takes place just after those events.

Icabod has called in reinforcements and Malius and voracis have been captured. Thelis is staying in the human camp. Antonious and his waywatchers are hanging around in the forest. A dark elf rescue party is coming to save voracis and Malius. Icabod is preparing the army to leave for Altdorf.

a dwarf would be a welcome addition to the rpg as would any other new characters. perhaps some followers of chaos to be the villains.

Appearance: armour. With some blonde, curly beard peeking through. His eyes are bright and full of laughter.
Equipment: Gromril armour, shield, hammer.

Brund is still relatively young for a dwarf Ironbreaker, but he showed much promise. He mined the gromril and forged his own armour just a few short years ago, and since then has been proving his worth to the hold. Reports had come in of Elves fighting, and Brund was sent to investigate. Running day and night, he soon came upon the camp of Icabod's knights. Walking into the camp he called out in a gruff voice "Who is the leader of this force?"

Icabod and Thelis' conversation was interrupted by an immense racket from the camp.
"Excuse me for a moment" Icabod said apologeticaly and walked outside to see what all the comotion was.
A small but heavily armoured figure was bawling at the top of his lungs "Who is the leader of this force?"
The soldiers nearby were going about their business with slightly disturbed looks upon their faces. Icabod could tell that this creature was a dwarf just by looking at him. He strode up to the dwarf and towered over him.
"That would be me master dwarf. Icabod von Wolfenburg at your service. what can I do for you?"

Antonious gave a soft owl hoot for his way watchers to stay still. He dropped to the forest floor making no more noise than when a pine cone falls softly to the bed of leaves on the floor. Crouching he moved slowly, ever so slowly to the edge of the clearing and wrapped his cloak around him concealing himself. He watched and listened to this new comers conversation.... The hunter always gathers all the information he can.

OOC: For the record Antonious is a fairly random force. He was sent to stop the Slaaneshi taint from spreading and as such he will follow you till the Slaaneshi elf's you captured (he thinks they are) are dead, oh and untill he's satisfied that you aren't all consumed by it
