The Endless

In Malus Darkblade series bk.5 Lord of Ruin, he runs into the 'Endless'. They sort of fit the description of Dark Riders but it specifically mentions them being Malekiths bodyguards and that they all wear iron face masks.
Anyone know anymore? I'd have thought that they would be in the DE army book.

So far as I know, they were created new for the novels. I find them quite fitting, though. Unfortunately they have yet to make it into an army book that I know of.

Yes this was one of the things that really irritated me about the DB books though I generally enjoyed them (though I have not read past LOR). The endless did not exist before they appeared in the novel, personally I don't like the black guard being relegated to the level of elite spearmen but that is a different conversation.

I suppose they should have been Black Guard, at that. I didn't really think about it that way

It was quite useful to have some sorcerous capability though; maybe an elite of sorcerous nature could be used to complement the BG. Doesn't get us any more info on the Endless but it might be a way to integrate the two if anyone wished to.
