Wait... did I miss something? What's up with the giant turtle?

I'm not sure they could have found a less scary marine beast for them to ride if they tried. What next? The release of the horrifying giant sheep of doom?

Nonsense. The giant turtle is awesome.

And anyone who thinks turtles aren't scary or threatening has never encountered a grumpy Macrochelys temminckii.

I remember GW claiming it could no longer produce metal minis, because of taxes.
Why is GW casting mini in metal again?

There is no 'again'. GW never completely stopped producing minis in metal. Almost the entire SoB range for 40K is still metal, for example. The moulds for plastic, metal and resin minis are different. Some previously metal minis had new moulds made to cast them in resin when the original metal moulds wore out, partly (IIRC) because China had driven up the international metal prices. But GW are not going to make new moulds for old models for a limited run just so they can cast them in resin instead of metal.

Perhaps. Given the options for fearsome sea beasts: sea serpents, giant octopi, giant squids, leviathans, sea dragons, and the like, a turtle seems... underwhelming.

Did anyone manage to get Morathi ordered before they pulled her?

I spoke to them and they said there was an issue with production of the model (maybe with the mold) hence they took her off the website.

Cheers

I ordered the Manflayers, Morathi, and the Dreadlord with great weapon. I'll let you know if I get the model.

@Knoffles, I just got an email from Games Workshop today that confirms my order is enroute and that it contains one Morathi model.

Anyone else going to buy a Malekith? I want to for painting purposes and possibly playing WFB if I can get someone to dust off models, but man, he hasn't aged too well.
