My lord on dragon converison...

Post by Arcturus »

I just thought I'd make a short discription of how I made it, since people have seemed to like it quite much.
Here's the man.
Image

The part used are the following.
Malekith on black Dragon(all except malekith)
Beastmaster on manticore(the head of the beastmaster)
Abaddon the despoiler(the sword)
Executioner
Cold One Knight

-I began by removing the legs from the Cok, and removing the shoulder armour&collar from the torso, and then removing the Cok helmet from the collar. This was pretty difficult, and took considerable time. I highly recomend using a saw, and not a knife for this. I then removed the Executioners torso from the rest of the body. I cut and filed away his shoulder guards, and head, so that the Cok shoulder guards and collar fit neatly onto him. I then proceeded to glue the parts together. No green stuff was used since the parts fit together nicely.

-After this was done, I cut the beastmaster head in half, just at the nose, so that I could sink it into the Cok collar.

-Next I took Malekiths cloak, and fit it onto the shoulders of the Cok. I had to remove a part of the cloak close to the collar, because it didn't fit properly. I glued the cloak on, and then remade the cloak part with greenstuff(this proved to be kinda pointless, since his hair and the sword obscure the view anyway, so you can't see it..)

-Finally, I filed away all the screaming soul faces on abaddons sword, shortened it a bit, and glued it into the slot where the exec sword is meant to be.

And thus he was complete... I then painted his armour deadly nightshade, highlighted with a mix of deadlyNS, enchanted blue, bleached bone and white. The cloak is shaded from deadly night shade up to blood red, with fiery orange highlights..

Did I explain this chaotically enough? :D
Cheers..

That's a fantastic conversion, well done.
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."
