what you can do with flesh wash (a lot!)

Post by Z'gahn »

hey,

if you want to paint something leather, try this: scorched brown and then flesh wash. that's really nice.

or wood: snakebite leather with flesh wash, or; snakebite leather, black ink, flesh wash

back of the SDC: scorched brown, highlighting with blood red, and flesh wash

manticore rider's cloak: scorched brown and flesh wash. (and the "islands" on it: scaly green highlighted with jade green)

and of course the flesh itself, although i find it very difficult (and it doesn't work with me)

and porbebly you can do alot more with it, but i haven't discovered that yet.

I prefer Chestnut Ink for my bronze, being the Khaine-devotee that I am since Chestnut Ink gives bronze a very reddish, bloody look.

No really, I just need a contrasting colour in my colour scheme, and Chestnut Inked-Bronze fills that spot nicely.

I haven't used a wash for years. I find that I can make pretty much any effect without using them and I also find they are a little unpredictable.
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

E. A. Poe
