The problem with repeater crosbows...

Post by Lord alectro »

Hasn't anyone noticed that crossbows have a blade in the end???This really sucks.Apart from ruining the formation it has no sence(scroll through all of your books,do you see any DE crossbowman with a blade in the end??Tell me what you think cause it really makes no sense :?:

You know, I have noticed the blade at the end of the crossbow. I rather like the idea since it makes them look more vicious. I always thought of them as bayonets (or something similar) and that concept works in my mind. Stick him in the belly and shoot him in the face.

I can see what u mean, it would be cool if it could actually be used in HTH so that the xb would then not be just ballistic, but i'm sure if they did this it would cost a lot more points and probably be too much of an advantage, so they put it there just to look cool.

I think it could be used as an aiming sight. And it was made into a spike because dark elves won't use a weapon that can't make you bleed to death even if you just touch it.

maybe a rule that if you don't shoot before and you get into hth you can shoot and attack normally, with a +1 to hit (are you really gonna miss someone who is 2 feet infront of you?) but thats kinda like stand and shoot, only not

yeah it could be a sight or bayonet, but I think the sculptor just made it as another over-exagerated Dakr Elf spike thing.
