Who has conversion ideas for da Manyflayers!?

Post by Vraneththecruel »

looki this: http://merchantprince.homestead.com/Manflayers.html

After reading these rules, I am quite keen on creating my own unit of Manflayers (Im a conversionaholic) and want to know if any of you more experienced players have any ideas for me.
My avatar is kind of hypocritical isnt it?

No problem. I was new once too, ya know. ;)

Actually, I meant it to be more friendly than it came out. Sorry. Today's been a bit...off for me. *razzin frazzin server crash grr...*

And, if I haven't said it already, Welcome! :)

I was going to do them with corsairs. Means a lot of green stuff and a few changes to the cloaks but otherwise with a bit of work I think they would be fine otherwise plastic warriors with green stuff cloaks.

Why convert? Hopefully they'll be putting them out soon. Chris Fitzpatrick was working on them just before he left GW. Check out this link for some images (pictures on the bottom).

Unfortunately this is from Gamesday 2001 so who knows when or what is planned for them, but they're all but finished so you'd think they'd just finish them up and sell them.

Fitzpatrick's manflayers are history. We'll never see them because of "legalities". when he left GW, the "rights" to them went with him. Too bad, cuz they looked pretty cool and I'd have bought them.

A thing I did with 2 of my corsairs was arm swaps. Dark Eldar in 40K has a special character named "Drazhar,Master of Blades". I used his arms instead, substituting them for those ugly, tiny daggers our corsairs have in one hand. They look really nasty.
