Hi , one thing i've noticed about dark elves is they are very hard to convert, unlike high elves or orcs. But i've come up with a convertion that might meet the things you are looking for.
I used:
Archaons horse(minus tail)
dark steeds tail
cold one knights lance
cold one knights shield
40K dark eldar figure Asdrubael vect(torso no right arm)
malus darkblades sea dragon cloak
and a dark riders repeater crossbow.
I have no picture yet but when i do i will post it to the gallery. Please feel free to write down any convertion ideas you may have, they will be gratefully excepted.
Bye Delekth

I'm not sure that I agree that they are hard to convert, but none the less we do lack a lot of leadership modells that other armies have so it's good too see some cool ideas. I'd love to see what you did with the horse because it looks decidedly chaos and quite large, let us know when you've posted it.
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore --
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking "Nevermore."

Have you ever been to the GW darkelves-site? (http://www.games-workshop.com/warhammer ... kelves.htm) It's some cool conversions there on special characters
