If you already had 1 or 2 warrior boxes, you should have some leftover DE heads. Hope you saved them. Use DE heads on silver helm bodies, then make capes from green stuff. If you have leftover DE spears, substitute them for the helms' lances. It should work ok and save alot of money.

well. comment to Draichlord's post. If I ware you I'd use the torsos from our boxed set, make them look alot more Druchii. and then u dont have to worry about having enought spears to go around.

- the silverhelm box contain some bare heads. I made the hair longer (greenstuff) sins I havent seen a DE whit short hair.
I also recomend to model hoods on them.

Comment on the silverhelm steeds; get as much HE fluff (armour and stuff) of them as posible.

I would rather buy the DR models but we all know no one has enough money. How much is green stuff anyway, and is really that good?

Green stuff is like $5.95 (U.S.) and you get 2 "ribbons" about 5'' x 1 1/2". It actually makes alot and is INDISPENSIBLE for converting and filling gaps on the larger models' joints. Really helps reinforce a "pin and superglue" job!!

If you buy a DE warrior box and a HE silver helm box to make dark rider conversions, you've already spent more than 5 original DR's cost. The difference is you'll have more of them by going the conversion route. It depends on what YOU want, quality or quantity.

That should go well and give some neat varied appearance!
