Anyway, I love how Maelstrom is picking up the slack and seems to be filling up empty spaces left by GW with the big monsters

That...is....EPIC!!! I WANT ONE!!!!! JUSKJFLAJGHAODJF SDLJFHDSK
The fact that this model is predominantly dominated by a scorpion and lion body, with the majority of it conveniently being a lion, I think you can really use it for a Manticore.
The detail of it just looks great, and I like the idea of a ram's head as part of it, maybe not the drake/lizard head but meh. You could even exclude the ram and the lizard head if u want it to look more like a Manticore. I imagine the heads aren't stuck on.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
The heads are indeed separate pieces, but you would need to do some green stuff work. I have just had a look at the resin cast and yeah it is doable.
I was looking a the top of the pic thinking how cool the heads were, then i scrolled down to see it was all combined haha. Really nice model. I think the dragon head is my favorite.
I think if anyone is worried about it as a Manticore just say its been warped by the winds of magic. Magic explains a lot in this game.
