So i added some pictures, get rid of some and as the title said my last project was shields that could be magnetized without need of switching the whole arm. Perhaps i´m just Captain Obvious :D, and it´s common thing, but i´ve not seen any yet. If so please let me know. If not and there is someone out there who would like some pictures and perhaps few comments, let me know too...

Never noticed this thread before! Some wonderful conversions.

More pics would indeed be appreciated...

magnetizing the shields rather than the arms sounds clever, but it also sounds like a great deal of work (assuming you want them to look good without the shields, and i assume that ;)

you will save work by not having to paint an extra arm for every spearman, but it is likely that it will be faster in the end than in bedding the magnet nicely in the forearm with GS.

Thanks. Browsed my FTP today and found some pictures including my first conversion ever :D

Well you got me here. :D I like nice miniatures. That means no mold lines, gaps between bits filled, etc. So magnetizing whole arm is nothing for me because of that gap between body and hand which is likely to apear. But as you pointed out, thats a lot of work which means lots of time spend...

You have got some great conversions there Diablo!

I particularly like the DH BSB. I have seen a few done like that, but yours looks the most natural IMO. Also loving your attention to detail. Its good to see movement trays that fit properly without gaps between the base and lip of the tray. But thats just my OCD showing :)
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.

very cool and neat work as always, though i would have wanted the wings a bit bigger. i understand if you want them this size for practical purposes though :)

Keep in mind that Cold one is very long so the wings might look smaller. The wings are actually 5inch wide which i think is good for winged horse and the 40mm base it should be on.

Since i manage to finaly get my hands on some bloodletters i finished my Malus / Soulrender Dreadlord.

Image
I inspired myself by old BG champ which had similarly shaped sword. Again, it may look out of proportion but it is actually the same size as the sword this dreadlord originaly had.

Besides, 'Eavy Metal don't sculpt, they only paint :P

Looking really really nice, i'm very jealous, especially of the cloak on your Malus.
