Zombie dragon/terrorghiest to black dragon conversion

Hello everyone I am planning on buying the new vampire counts zombie dragon and converting it into a black dragon. I was just wondering has anyone tried this yet or does anyone have the model and has any tips that will help me when I get it will and start converting.

Just curious, why not get the actual black dragon model? It's cheaper, more in keeping with the army look and comes on the right size base.

In my opinion the GW dragons are usualy far to scrawny but the new VC dragon is much better in my oppinion if I can get it to fit on a normal dragon base.
