I met an Italian in GW Dublin who said he actually thinks the figures are getting tamer. What do you guys think?

They are. Trying to appeal to mass market and lower age group. Truthfully if a parent allows a child to play a war game with violent fluff, demons and the like. I doubt a bit of nudity is that big of a deal. Plus parent should screen what a child is being subjected to. Btw I'm a parent too. Lol

In what way were they getting tamer per say?

@saintofm: I guess less nudity/overt sexuality in the models and in the fluff - as opposed to the novels. He didn't exactly specify what he meant, sorry!!

The past is the past. GW has "clothed up" the female parts of their new releases the last years. Wyches has most of their bodies covered, daemonettes have clothes now, and I don't think we'll see any more seminude females there. It's okay of course, as it's for a game.

Getting almost completely nude orcs, dwarfs and ogres isn't a problem though. Guess nude guys are okay for GW... maybe the mothers don't get angry about that :P

Here I have scaled a Blood Vestal to 28mm (base to eye level) and compared it to some of my GW female Dark Elves.

As you can see they vary in scale, but 28-30 mm would probably work best.

it seems a bit misleading since the others are mounted on higher bases tbh.

EDIT: for them to be in true 28mm scale you would have to make them a bit taller than 28mm, since they have high heels. thats probably why they look a bit small :)

@Noble Korhedron: Makes sense. The model of the two fully nude sex slaves next to the standard had some creepy fluff (long story short, powerful sorceress overlord captures them, Stockholm syndrome and some lonely nights on he battlefield ensue).

The overloard in question...well, lets just say we may see lady gaga try something like that.

Oh well, going back to the new witch elves, they look more calm and less mindlessly bloodthirsty. Almost demure in a way.

Time for a better comparison with my GW female Dark Elves.

Image

Bigger picture: http://hem.spray.se/kendoka/rh_gw2_1280.jpg

I think the RH mini would look its best in 30 mm (base to eye)
- although it would probabbly be wise to call it "28MM" (considering the high heels) as that is a more common name for "GW-scale".

And as you can see the head and breasts actually somewhat *smallish* - compared to the GW line (viewing closeups of 28 mm could mess with your sense of proportions).

Taken from the Raging Heroes page:

Image

16.95 Euro for the 5 rank and file models and 18.95 Euro for the command group. This is a price limited to the first 100 pre orders of rank and file and 25 command groups so looks like prices will go up from there.

They are VERY cool. Gonna have to get me some I think...
