Hero Forge kickstarter

Post by Blackphantom »

Has anyone seen this already?

They'd let you choose how you would want a model, qua pose, armor, weapon etc... pretty detailed as well ;) (it's 3D printed)
The kickstarter is already funded, btw :)

I'm thinking you could find something to your liking for a Dreadlord, or a master or an assassin or something ;)
Only models on foot for now, but since their stretch goal for mounts is reached already, they'll make those as well ^^

Looks interesting, but if you look closely, while they claim "customizable" all of the models on the show look the same.

Same poses with different equipment doesn't mean customizable. They will be severely limited by the amount of poses they can create so hopefully they can create them fast enough

hmmm... yeah, you're right. i can see 6 different poses or so. i'm thinking (hoping) they'll get some more though.

edit: in the video you can see that there are 8 different poses in the character creator.

If you're going for a couple characters for your RPG then I see no problem, but if you want to have a unique character... well, do they really offer anything more than you can achieve with a couple arm/head/bits swaps that we've been doing for years?
