Awesome model! I nominate that you name the skull and boney hand at Tyrion's feet 'T.D.' :D Tell your opponents that it is the remains of the last guy that said Malekith was boinking the Everqueen. :P

Doesn't look like one bit like T.D. Maybe the one in the back?

Very nice model and yes, Malhandir doesn't look happy. :burns:

It's nice to see the Asur on our forum sticking together. Times like these need comradeship.

Wow! How awesome a whole Aestyrion army would look in that scheme! Or a straight Druchii army.

Or you know five paperweights ranked up, paint and model them like that Tyrion and I'd buy it!
For us, there is no longer the druchii, the asur and the asrai; now there are only the Asdra; The Laughing Ones.

For us The Season of Doom is ended, now The Season of Opportunity is begun.

Another great model Cult! Your flames have inspired me to repaint the flames on some of my daemons, thanks. I will have to join the cult of Cult :?

Thanks CitizenKaine - you can be my second in command :D

Actually this was quite an interesting project to take on (painting so much fire) not my normal project.

I did a bit of study on fire and looked at the colour of fire - the hottest part of the fire is actually white (not red) so when it came to painting the flames I had to swap the direction of my colors around.

Also the base was a bit of an experiment making the cracked earth - I found this great tutorial on YouTube that I applied to a lava look.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWwCCbVYI6g

Worth checking out - the egg shells give a great effect (better than the cracked earth paint GW sells) good for desert, ice etc

Thanks Cult! Having the flames colour the wrong way around is exactly what I did on my daemons :? Seemed like a good idea at the time and while it looks OK your one look better.

Good to be back painting dark elves after my dwarf stint.

This is the start of my Karond Kar army and what I will be working towards for armies on parade this year.

Great work as usual. I especially love the freehand on the banner.

Another two units complete for this years armies on parade. I stuffed them at the last sec when I sealed them with Matt varnish - the can was nearly empty and as a result it left white little dots of varnish all over the models NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Anyway I brushed most of them off and they came out ok. (A lesson to learn for next time)

They look great! Using a bright color on the horse heads pieces really make them stand out, something I must try out, thanks for showing them.

Those dark riders are immense. Your photography definitely makes me want to invest more time in this area of the hobby. The pictures look so good and clear.

I have a fairly average camera (a little sony cybershot), I take all my photos outside in semi sunlight against two sheets of white A4 paper.

They look like below raw. I then pull them into photoshop and do a simple thing where I adjust the curves of the photos (basically I get a little colour picker and can select the white area around the photo to make it pure white) this changes it to look like the final photo.
