My Dark Elves
Hello everybody! ("Hey doctor Nick!" )
Let me introduce myself to this forum with this paintjob of my BSB on foot miniature.
In few words - my name is Marko and I'm from Croatia. I'm pretty much regular ETC member of our team, and I was DE player at last two Croatia appearances on ETC.
I'm painfully slow painter, but I try to compensate that fact with higher level of finished product.
Anyway, here is my BSB, and new plastic sorceress on foot and Kharibdyss should be finished soon..

Nice freehand! Impressed by how neat are the druchii letters.
Rest of model just perfect, not much to add.

Re: My Dark Elves
Really nice work. With a lot of colors too. I always found it a challenge to combine a lot of colors and still get a good, solid look.
I love me a bowl of numbers to crunch for breakfast. If you need anything theoryhammered, I gladly take requests.

Very nice paintjob, and really awesome freehand on that banner
Re: My Dark Elves
Hey guys! Thank you very much on positive feedback for BSB. I hope you will like my already mentioned WIP which is now finally finished.
Due to lack of free time, I'm extra proud that I've managed to finish it before Slovenian tournament I've attended this weekend. That's where tournament deadlines come in handy
Few stroke with paintbrush and sorc on foot should be also finished, and my next project are warlocks which I'm sure will be great fun!

Before I looked at the BSB photo, I made a bet with myself that it would be great. Someone about "from Croatia" and "slow painter" told me that good stuff was coming.
Well, what do you know but it was good!
Really nice color choices and careful execution. Welcome to the forum, and let's see some more cool stuff when you have more to show.
That's silly! Playin with little statues, pretendin' they're fightin'! Why not just round up a bunch of real goblins and lettem' whack it out?
Re: My Dark Elves
That's excellent work! I'm really impressed with how you've managed to paint the black skin on the K-beast to look so textured - I've always found black to be a really hard colour to paint.
I'm really looking forward to seeing more

Re: My Dark Elves
Hey guys! Many thanks for positive replies
I've managed to do some painting before ETC, and now I finnaly made some shots of my "new" characters/units.
Since all new paint job is mounted characters and units, it's obvious that I've brought nasty warlock bus list to ETC, and, to be honest, I'm tired of playing with ETC-able hardass lists... Now is time to paint fun stuff like medusa shrine and infantry blocks for our local tournament (Swedish comp.) in December.
Next on my paint list are AHW corsairs and dark shards.
DREADLORD ON DARK STEED
SUPREME SORCERESS ON DARK STEED
MASTER BSB ON DARK STEED
DARK RIDERS No. 1
DARK RIDERS No. 2
DOOMFIRE WARLOCKS

Re: My Dark Elves
Nice update. All look well done and the colour scheme works nicely throughout.
Re: My Dark Elves
Looks lovely! Hopefully we´ll see some of your lists in the army list section of the board (especially the swedish comp ones! )

Re: My Dark Elves
Awesome work - love the clean bold tones. That clean black shadow around the silver barding on the dark riders really does it for me too! The freehand through it magic - though small the runes on the Master BSB on dark steed really impresses. And some wonderful bases to top it off!

Re: My Dark Elves
Very nice. Love the clean look of the metallics and the shading of the purple.
One thing bothers me though ... the sea dragon cloak and other scaled areas seem a bit too flat and monochome. It's a pain to do it, but adding a couple layers of progressive highlight to each scale would help a lot.

I'll second that. It wouldn't take much to make those scales really jump out and look really great (like the rest of the parts)
