Just finished my cold one BSB. Now that he's done, I have completed my entire ETC comp 2400 point list, which is pretty exciting. I'll try to get some pictures up of all the units together when I get a chance.

I'll work on getting in another piece of terrain when I get the chance for the display board.
Most likely some sort of sand-hut that I can put the bolt throwers on top of.

Just wanted to give a quick update. I haven't had the chance to paint too much in the recent months, but will hopefully have the opportunity to coming up shortly. I'm going to try to finish up my pegasus and some shades next I think.

Now that's what I call a block of death - good job Coop

I love the odd crimson sword here and there - breaks up the unit.

Thanks!

I have found it to be super effective in games as well. I stick in a ring of Hotek, Level 4 life sorceress and it becomes a pain in the butt to deal with. S5 (or 7) elves with S6 killing blow attacks at I5 will tear through pretty much anything.

I tried putting a frenzy granting hag in there with the sword of anti heroes and it just made the unit even more ridiculous. Definitely a cool block to play with, just watch out for salamanders!

Unfortunately, I don't have too much to post on about the dark elves. Been taking a little break from fantasy painting recently to work on some of the new 40k models which I think are really sharp. Not 100% done but thought I'd put up what I've finished so far on the adeptus mechanicus chicken walker. \

Very nice work on the model. I like the base as well, but I feel it could use a bit more filler. It looks a little flat. Or is that intentional? I don't know how fitting it would be for 40K.

That's a good suggestion. The model is not glued down as of yet. The legs are very skinny and the footprint is super small, so the base does look empty. I'll look into some different possibilities. I have some tall grass that may be cool and add some internediate height above the rocks but below the body of the model.

Thanks!

Nice colour on the walker. I quite like the bases sparsity, not too unfitting for 40k.

I finished off the rest of the model. I added some tall grass to give the base some height and make it look a little bit less sparse.

Very nice.
Do the black Rocks have any dry brushing. Can't really tell from the photo and I think it may help tone down the contrast to the sand?

Yes, they have some gray and tones. Not quite as black and thr pictures. I'll look at it more though, may be a little too dark as you pointed out.
