Need malekith ideas

Looking for cool ideas to convert a malekith model. He needs to be able to ride a dragon (warpfire dragon from forgeworld) and look different that just a plain cold one knight.
If anyone has ideas, or photos of stuff yourselves or others have done

I'm in the middle of one at the moment too, thread is here.

I'm putting him with the warpfire dragon too, but as I want to be able to field him on foot or with a chariot as a brutal looking dreadlord too, I'm just having him stand on the dragon's base rather than have him riding.

Hmm, seems to be the thing to do at the moment then. My Dreadlord is about to be on that particular dragon as well.
I even choose it as most of the conversions I have seen, have been based on the Carmine dragon and thought it would be a little more original.
I am planning to use a conversion from the Wood Elf wild rider kit though.

Our generals must have all gone to the same dragon breeding farm.

Faeli-n that conversion is amazing. I love it. Can you share what pieces you used for what? I'd love to borrow from you.
The dragon rider was alright... I just wanted something a little less generic. He is a 1000 pt. badass and king of every single elf alive after all.
I won't lie... It's a bit sad to hear that everyone is doing it, but eh... Whatever. I didn't like the wings it came with, so I'm adding balrog wings to mine. Making it a bit grander. Plus I don't really like GW's interpretation of dragon wings. Too small. The terror gheist wings are about the right size, but only for 1 strange pose.

For my Malekith model that can ride a dragon, I converted a ... Malekith model that came with a dragon.

I realize that's out of print now, but you should be able to find him somewhere on eBay or something, no problem. I haven't assembled the dragon, but I did finish the Malekith not too long ago...need to update my PLOG again, hope to after the new year.

Finding a pewter or the fincast variant for the last vertion of the Dark Eldar Archo also works.

Ya, I tried to find one of the old ones, but they aren't really on ebay. Everyone that is goes into some crazy bidding war. Besides that rider is meh and the dragon is ugly.

My favourite convert-a-Malekith (on foot version) is:

- Head from Black Dragon Kit
- Body from Chaos Sorceror Plastic Kit
- Legs from Dark Eldar Kabalite

Oh, that's sweet looking! I have seen some converted from the older Archon model, but the chaos sorcerer is a great idea that wouldn¨t really have occurred to be me. The whole model fits together really well and looks truly epic.
