Thanks! The blood is just the technical paint from GW applied in streaks - really easy to do actually!
Count them:

Painted in 2013: 500
Painted in 2014: 600
Painted in 2015: 854

quite a striking effect - I have not used it before. I have tried the cracked earth one with mixed results and the water effects one works quite well.
