2 years since I last painted, finished a Hydra this week

Post by Blackphantom »

Hi everyone

Last week, facebook gave me a "memory" to share. It was my Cold one I painted 2 years ago. It was also the last thing I painted. (actually I did two at the same time)
So I wanted to start again, and instead of starting out small (finishing RxB or corsairs), I wanted to do the hydra that had been standing in my shelf. And since it was already assembled, I just needed to prime it and start painting.

So this are the Cold ones I did 2 years ago. Pic is in the spoiler or the link

I wanted to do the Hydra basically the same way, and this is how it ended up.

Great job on both, I'm glad you decided to go big on your first model back. Looks great!

The blending on the hydra skin looks great! Congrats on the return model. I have a kharibdyss that is just sitting on the shelf intimidating me right now. I need to just take the plunge and paint it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
