Re: KOW army
Well I have five more tourneys lined up in the next seven weeks.
I have decided to adjust my army list a bit.
I shall be bringing in the firepower of two Hydras and specialising my magic phase with healing in the form of unicorns and the Green lady. (Think WE Ariel)
Hydra models were a bargain off ebay. Unicorns are in the post.
Will also finish my Earth Elementals with some conversions.
Two weeks until first of the tourneys, so painting will restart this week.

Re: KOW army
Made a little progress before this weekends tourney.
As you may remember I improvised some Earth elementals with basically a scenic base.
I have taken some Mantic Golems and swapped some parts with some Scibor assessories. Then added them to the scenic base.
Minis are not the best but felt I should have at least some Mantic minis in my army.
Next up will be the Otherworld Unicorns tomorrow and then I will add wings to my Reaper pig monster before tackling my Raging heroes giant fairy on Friday.

Re: KOW army
How is the Raging Heroes Fairy? Any issues with the sculpt or construction? I'm looking at picking one up for my girlfriend for our KoW games.
Keep it up!

Re: KOW army
I will post up tomorrow. She lost an arm in the tourney today so need to reglue. Solid top ten placing, so happy.
Model itself is absolutely fine. Fits together with no issue and detail is all there.
Only slight downside is the the metal seems fairly soft compared with GW, but perfectly fine.

I really love the way you make the bases. They look superb on pictures. Unicorns are nice too, but somehow I'm not the fan of those beards - in my opinion they would look better without them.

A few photos of my army in action.
You may notice the chess clocks. 50 minute limit per person including setup and potentially 7 turns.

The one in segments was flocked. The others are digital mats.

Re: KOW army
Impressive army you build and it looks fantastic on the battlefield! About those units of your opponent, is it normal in KOW to build your units on a single base? Looks cool though, especially the pikeman!

Very common to multibase the whole unit. The game system does not require models to be removed, instead it builds attrition until it breaks and is completely removed from the table.
Plus units come in predefined sizes. Troop, Regiment, Horde, Legion. All of which have a fixed unit base size.
Really is a very nice game to play. Much faster that Warhammer, although lacks some of the finer details, but still requires tactically thinking and movement to position charges and block your opponent; double attacks from flanks, triple from the rear.
Also 4 games in 8 hrs means you get to play far more.

Re: KOW army
Well I have some new models that I will use as centaurs arriving on Saturday.
So hope to get some pictures up over the weekend.
Including some models I have already finished, like the Green lady shown basecoated above.
